As someone who suffered 3rd degree burns on over 50% of my body, from a garage fire when I was 13, I'm almost 45 now, and mine was a complete accident, this first story brought back some truly horrific memories. It's often the real terror, not any fake monster bullshit, that really really gets to people.
The 4th story was terrifying. I am glad that Cynthia got away and that 1 of her attackers is in prison. Cindy should have never been released. I hope she isn't the same person before she was arrested. And the last story was sad. I can't even begin to imagine what she was going through.

This is why I continue to believe in god. These people terrified me when I was younger, and I saw a darkness in me that I am still afraid of. I’m so glad I never did anything to my sister when I didn’t know the lord very well. Granted I did make mistakes, I did physically bully her, and she returned with verbally bullying me. But it never got beyond that. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to kill that part of me. That sadistic, sick, and disgusting thing that I was on the inside. The part no one knew about. I will still tell it to die. My wrath knows no bounds, but I’m not enslaved by that sickness.

...sorry, just clarifying because I haven't spent any time on Reddit reading No Sleep / Let's Not Meet. You're saying it's better that Joel abridged (cut up / edited out) the original story, yes? I got confused about the reference to his "recording."
@nbsoboleski4 ай бұрын
I'm guessing the original Reddit story, whether 100% made up, or, partially made up, and partially based on real life experiences, was way too graphic / unsettling to hear on a popular KZbin channel... and not anything to do with how someone records.

Yeah I don’t understand the logic behind this one. Basically everything is a rumor, but for some reason they also know tons of specific details at the same time? With how much the story has been shifted through conversation, how can they trust what anyone says? How on earth did they think the murder/cannibal story was the most realistic one out of all of them? It just sounds like someone who heard a vague city folktale and decided to speculate on the darkest possibilities.

For those of you curious, the Toy Box tapes are FAR worse than what Joel read here. The version on this channel is HIGHLY sanitized (for good reason). There are mentions of forced "interactions" with the dogs he talks about briefly in this version. The whole tape (or several tapes, I'm not sure) is over 40 minutes if listened to in full. I read about a third of it before I just couldn't do it anymore, it's disturbing anf it's very rambly. Cindy should've never been released. I can understand why Jessie received such a low sentence (I can only imagine how she was treated growing up), but I don't understand giving one of his full accomplices parole. Ever.
