The Cessna 210 are not all pressurized. The P210 is. It is also heavier, a bit slower and slightly less range than the non pressurized versions. It’s easy to spot a P210 because they have windows with rounded corners vs the square corners on the non turbo version.

Only the Cessna P-210N ('78-'83) and the P-210R ('85-'86) were pressurized. And, the -210s are six-seaters. Actually, the model evolved out of the C-206. The Beech Baron 58P is the only pressurized Baron. Admittedly, I have zero flight hours above FL180 in a light single or twin-engine pressurized aircraft. If I were flying in the flight levels even in a pressurized aircraft, you can bet that I'd have supplemental oxygen with me, and at the ready.

The cheapest part of buying or owning an airplane is the purchase price folks. Remember, there is still the annual costs of maintenance, annual inspections, AD compliance, hangar rent, fuel, oil, tires, oil changes, spark plugs, etc. maintenance is expensive, parts are expensive, labor hours for repairs are expensive. The cheapest airplane is the one your friend owns and if you’re lucky enough lets you fly with him.

Lancair IV-P outclasses everything, cruise at 539km/h, about the same as Cirrus Visionjet but the interesting thing is, it can be so much better yet. It's a one ton bird and it's not a twin jet. Nor does it have a lav. Imagine cutting the weight to 250kg, 4 seats, 1 lav (one time inserts and wet wipes) and 2 small turbofan jets. Increase the speed to 750km/h yet still better fuel economy than a cirrus SR22. Lower new price than a Cessna 172. Less than half of a Cirrus SR22. Runway to runway autopilot and ceiling at FL450. A light speedwalker. Probably couldn't reach hawaii but transatlantic via greenland.

Hi! I was think to buy a Cessna 175 or 172 for to have mobility with my 8 cats. We are at Brazil and I hope , yet this year, move us to EUA, or Canada or Europe. But, the noise is to much. In fact, the prices now are to much more expensive, was 17.000 and now 30-50-100k USD! The pressurizers ones are the Unic way to my pet family. But I can't affort that so fast, and don't want to compromise on it so much money. So, we need to rent an aircraft like that Cessna 210. And until now, I couldn't to found a way for to do that. All the airplane marketplace , pilots schools, even for the 172 piston types, didn't give to me a positive ensure. So, where to rent that? Affordable?

Will these have a greater range?
@SGTMARSHALL12 жыл бұрын
Range is usually relevant to design, payload and performance, if your preference is range without payload the Risen is a single engine 2 seater with double the range of those pressurized models. As always do your own research and have a checklist of what you want and what you actually need. You may need to carry more people but can fly multiple legs for refuelling eliminating the need for range. The choice is always personal
@ADAMREES-GRITGYM2 жыл бұрын
@@SGTMARSHALL1 much appreciated! Thank you for taking the time.
@SGTMARSHALL12 жыл бұрын
@@ADAMREES-GRITGYM no worries, if you plan on purchasing any plane that appears like a bargain look at the engine hours and the hours for overhaul, they maybe close to a major and usually costly maintenance overhaul so finding a local expert to inspect it is always recommended. Design is an important factor to flight characteristics such as the Velocity Twin, it's reasonable in price passenger capacity is also responsible and performance is great for unpressurized but it is short with a wide wingspan so it is more stable sideways than forward flight, the Diamond DA42 is also responsible performance, efficient, has passenger capacity with a longer fuselage by about 10 ft so the ride quality will be more smooth like a long wheelbase car but you pay extra for comfort and quality. Always look at the planes glide ratio in the event of power failure and if it is a single engine a ballistic recovery parachute would be advisable.

Which is the best pressurized airplane for training in? Aviation is my new hobby but I'm pretty much a complete novice. Atm I'm looking to buy two airplanes. One is for learning in but I plan on keeping it long term to fly occasionally to keep my skills sharp, for shorter trips, and smaller airports. The second plane will depend on mission use which is something I'm still learning about but I'm leaning towards a Phenom 300 or a CJ3 atm.

@LowandFast3572 жыл бұрын
Pretty questionable info on this video Mike. On the 210's, you really needed to focus on the P210. The one you highlighted and discussed was a 210, totally not pressurized at all. The Mooney Mustang is also a poor choice. The worst on this list. Only something like 30 of those were ever produced, and most pilots will never see one in their lifetime. Also, the Malibu Mirage and Meridian were left off the list. I know the M350 is a predecessor along the M500/600, but the Malibu 310P is the least popular of the bunch, the Mirage and Meridian being the most. Also the Propjet would have been worth mentioning. You probably could have mentioned the twin Cessna line starting from the 340 and up to the 421C. There are more of those flying around than P210's and 58P's combined. You should do a little more research for these videos. Not impressed.
