About the amphibious Land Rovers, whomever produced the film evidently did not know about the APGP (Air Portable General Purpose) Land Rovers that were built to be both air portable and amphibious. These spacial body trucks had deployable floats on both sides and front plus a single rear brass propeller. These Series tucks were built long before the Discos. They could have also mentioned the Series IIA Forest Rover that has special wings, bed and four full size tractor wheels. There were many very special bodied Land Rovers.

This is our list of Land Rovers that we consider to be 'the best' and is not in order of build. The Forest Rover is often featured in lists like these, we wanted to showcase something a bit different. Feel free to make your own video showing your favs 👍🏻

the forest rover was built by Roadless the tractor manufacturers now no more...apart from the body mods as you say the landy itself was fairly standard with the only major mechanical mod being reduction hubs to correct the gearing for the 11or 12 X 28inch rims

I think it was a series 2 they added the Cuthbertson track to.
@funrover908 жыл бұрын
Mark Smith according to Cuthbertson, it was a Series One, we just couldn't find any video of that

Put any thoughts of up-cycling this years inflatable one man dingy out of your mind immediately ... especially if it involves a recently built Tribute Build!

There's some interesting stuff there. Had to laugh at the Cuthbertson video clips. Who in their right mind would drive a Land Rover with a suit and tie on?
@funrover908 жыл бұрын
It's how everyone used to roll, even mechanics. I quite like it 👍🏻

I don't think leaning over a running engine wearing a neck tie is a good idea :D
@funrover908 жыл бұрын
+Land Rover Toolbox Videos well you would have to tuck it in, I've heard some horror stories from schools in particular about ties and machines :/
