What about hitting orbital debris in a pod and careening into deep space at the same velocity that you were meant to drop at? Unless you encounter more debris/celestial body or somehow be recovered by friendlies, there would be no friction to slow your roll, putting you through an eternal roller coaster until the oxygen supply is exhausted.

Honestly besides the flood to me the scariest and most painful way to die in halo (in my opinion) is by the localized gravitational fields (gravitational refinement) that were used in Halo Broken Circle (as far as I can tell that's the only instance of it being done) which were able to crush portions of your body with very fine precision. It honestly is a very gruesome and scary way to die because you're crushed into a super thin layer and the person in control can pick and choose pieces of your body until they finally finish you off, and in some cases the crushing can cause your insides to shoot out of you in what I imagine looks like someone rolling up a tube of toothpaste until it finally shoots out the end... Also my preferred way to go out would be talking to The Primordial just because I think it would be interesting and might be worth the insanity or following suicide lol. Although I'd hope to have my sanity long enough to glean some interesting facts off of him.
