Heading out to some Local Ponds, so will watch when I get back. Can't wait to see which 14 baits Matt features in this Top 5 video. 🤣 . FYI: There's a nice sale still going on at Tackle Warehouse; good way to help support this channel. Take care, everyone!

Matt, you have no idea how much I appreciate, as a guy that’s severely color blind, that you not only name the industry name of a bait(go-to) but also describe the colors in it and which colors are key! The industry has definitely screwed the color blind with their idiotic names of colors of baits. If a bait is called Margarita Mutilater, Tilapia Magic, Aaron’s Magic, Sexy whatever, there is no indication of the true color of a bait. Thanks again for always explaining the key colors. Helps more than you know.

Arizona is definitely tip toeing to that spring bite. Caught them super shwallow down in Yuma AZ. Had a 75+ weekend. Cold mornings but water temp quickly got to 58 Fahrenheit due to it being a primarily shallow river. Can't wait for the lake's and warmer temps. I'm a kayak only guy old town sportsmen 120 PDL.

Matt, there's one brand and particular model of a jerkbait that I don't see you mentioning that much. It freaking works for me when others don't get a look. It's the Stunna 112 +1, the "longer bill" aids in deflection and actually prevents hang ups , not just gaining a deeper presentation, it also causes the angle(sort of a nose down) of the jerkbait. All this combined seems to really provoke strikes for me over all others. JUST WANTED TO SHARE. APPRECIATE YOU GUYS! Thanks for all you do for us.

@onfootbassin Жыл бұрын
Tried the OG Rocco and hands down, it has to be the best tight wobbling shallow crankbait by far. It hunts, starts swimming quickly, and flat out works. Even caught my first one speed cranking with it (I'm a bank angler). I've caught plenty of coldwater bass cranking slowly, but never speed cranking. Tried it a little bit and yesterday it was too fun in the 30 mph wind and rain. Burn burn pause burn burn burn pause. Burn burn, holy shit it actually worked as a bass just inhaled it right at my feet.

I was curious if you ever leave best spinning rods and reels for some of these powerfishing techniques. I have used spinning gear for over 40 years fishing highland reservoir areas and would have a difficult time making the transition to casting gear. I understand that some of the techniques are suboptimal for spinning gear but I love using reaction type baits and would like to see if you would have any recommendations. I tend to use the smaller versions of reaction baits (110 jr., squarebills, chatterbaits, etc). I appreciate the info as always.

It's soooo hard to narrow it down. You know how passionate we are about a spinnerbait but we look at how many total scenarios each bait would be used in and the spinnerbait lost out.
