In October I went to Japan for the first time with Pac Set tours, and I went specifically on the pawprint pathways tour group. We went to almost every place on this list (Cat island, bunny island, Miyajima island, and Jigokudani) as well as quite a few other places. It's one of their most popular tours and they do it every year. The guides are amazing, and I highly suggest them. Also, I ran into Hitler cat when I was on cat island. My favorite place was bunny island, because it was so peaceful and beautiful, and I got to be surrounded by fluffy bunnies!

@englishatheart2 жыл бұрын
No, absolutely not. I would love to visit Japan, but those cafes are seriously cruel. Owls are meant to be outside and allowed to fly, not stuck inside and chained down. It isn't right. Don't promote animal cruelty.

I had twins. Having them need the same vaccinations at the same time, be fixed at the same time etcetera was the big wallet eater. However it made it where I could buy just one type of product. No need to buy kitten and adult food and hoping that they eat the proper one. We tried to limit how much human food they ate. Honestly the only way we could eat our meals was to feed them first and hurry up with ours. They made excellent dish washers. We had to have their food and litter delivered because we had trouble trying to lift these things. It wasn't much of a price difference. I live in a desert, so walking a dog isn't appealing. Also I was in college with most of my time away from home. So them being able to care for themselves was a plus. They were happy just watching TV all day. I think mine might have been unusual because they were really interested in doing things with me.

While I was on a trip with my school from Wales to Fukui japan we stopped in nara on the way back to Kansai airport and it was brilliant, the deer really do bow!
@MrLivinglife8008 жыл бұрын
I will say that I've visited all 5 of the animal hot spots in your video and my favorite, while it's not an easy choice because I liked all of them so much, is probably Zao Fox Village. The winter time is better as they have thicker coats and like to roll around in the snow. Rabbit Island (Okunoshima) comes in second place as the rabbits were very cute and the World War II history on the island made it even more interesting for me. Seeing the Poison Gas Museum and old gas store houses really makes a person think about how awful the conditions must have been during the war. Miyajima had "The Great Tori" out on the water, which was very beautiful to see at sunrise. Nara, Nagano, and Tashirojima were also very fascinating locations to explore. Japan is a beautiful country with so much history and culture. :-)

I've been to fox village, inspired after seeing your and rachel's video, but I have strong doubts about the place and I'm hesitant to recommend it to others. The foxes walking around in the big penn looked overall okay, but the foxes in the welcome area show signs of stress, are chained to or locked up in small crates in the sunlight in 40 degrees and the mini horses in the petting zoo are heavily neglected. All skin and bones and no care for their hooves at all. So yes, it's not all rainbows and sunshine.

I've been to Nara twice and an Owl Cafe once in Harajuku's famous Takeshita street. I gotta say, seeing wild animals mingle and roam peacefully with civilization should be the aim of a utopia. Also, feeding Nara deers and getting swarmed is always a fun prank to make on someone who's doing it for the first time. Make sure you're recording! Did it with my mum and she was both screaming with joy and terror.
