The unwritten Esculator rules is also a thing here in Sweden. We stand on the right side and keep the left side open for people who want to walk in it as a fast lane.

Please show us how to eat Healthfully in Japan. Is it Much more expensive? ( No heavy fried food, wheat or cheese.) I'd love to see menus focused on vegetables and healthy starches like buckwheat soba - School lunch for grown-ups. Can it be done in restaurants? If not, how are Japanese citizens staying slim?

Point 1. Back in 2006 I was swimming in a pool at my local Tipness when a man asked me where I was from. I said Vancouver. He didnt understand what i said so i repeated Vancouver. Canada. He understood Canada but still didn't quite get Vancouver. I thought about it for a minute then said very slowly....Ban Coo Bah, the katakana pronunciation of Vancouver. Ah....hai hai hai BANCOOBAH. Orimpicu(Olympic). I was happy he finally understood but was surprised he couldnt figure out Vancouver unless i pronounced it in katakana.

Thing is we can't trust your food recommendations because you told us in another video that no matter how bad the food is you have to rave about it to the person who gave it to you. What is truth, what is a lie? No actually most of that looked damn good.

It’s so disappointing a brand going so bad. Mos Burger was fantastic in the 90’s. It’s flagship burger was delicious, much better than any other burger chain. Last time I went , some years ago, it was just like you described. Never been there ever since!

Honestly I kinda get it. There's been a lot of tourists lately (particularly American men) coming to Japan acting completely disrespectful in public spaces, disrupting pedestrian areas, menacing passengers on public transit, harassing women, etc, for no reason besides TikTok views, so I can understand why some people aren't willing to take the risk of accepting tourists into their businesses. For sure there's an element of xenophobia there, and it sucks that people like this can so easily paint such a negative light on tourists or foreigners in general, but at the end of the day, communities have a right to protect themselves from intrusive behaviors by disrespectful tourists who treat others as props for their travel reels instead of people with jobs and families.

I don't know if this is a thing in Japan, but it took me a long time to get used to in Taiwan: doing the "come over here" hand gesture with the palm down. To my western eyes that looked the same as our "shoo, go away" back-of-the-hand gesture. The number of times I thought I was politely backing away from a photo they were taking, when in fact they wanted me to step in more and join them... I've seen people from Korea make the same hand gesture, so perhaps it's common in that broader corner of Asia? But it definitely took me a while to get used to it.

What're the rules around smoking in public? Does Japan still allow it in restaurants, bars, transportation and hotels? I want to visit, but I'm worried that it will smell awful. The shorts thing is interesting. Many years ago, that was true in the U.S., also. We could always tell the tourists by their lazy outfits, especially shorts!
