I recommend artic blizzard. You can experience an arctic blizzard litterally everywhere. The safest place is in a village (on contrary the wilderness) as you can walk the roads under the street lights between houses in the blizzard. You will have references all way as you won't get lost. You need good winter boots, a thermo dress, good handwear and a headover. Alpin glasses and balaklava is recommended for extra comfort. Indoors you can make it cozy. Foreigners living in the arctic loves it. One of their absolute favorites bcoz they like to make it cozy indoors and listen to the blizzard's roaring.

Hi Anna. I am loving your videos about everything Norway. We visited there in December/January (2019/20) and I absolutely loved it. We made it to Bergen/Briggen which was great but as you pointed out, it was raining :) Some other places we visited were; Stavanger where we did a fjord tour which included a chance to climb up to the Pulpit Rock lookout but unfortunately, I was sick and this was not a good idea. We also made it to Alta, where saw the amazing Northern Lights and we did dog sledding and reigndeer sledding with the Sami people and visited the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel which was fantastic. Finally, we travelled to Svaldbard, stayed in a great Air BNB and for 4 days we were part of the northernmost community in the world. Here we went snowmobiling, dog sledding, explored ice caves and visited the Svalbard museum. I really miss Norway and thank you for your videos. Take care.

2 hours driving North from Oslo you find the biggest lake in Norway with the City Hamar in east Side and Gjøvik on the west side and Lillehammer in north side of the lake Mjøsa. Lillehammer was hosting winterolympic games in 1994. If you are in Lillehammer you shoul try Maihaugen, learning about Norwegian history and amazing old houses. Many things to learn and see about Norway here. If you wanna see the city and the nature you can go to lysgårsbakken where they do ski jump. Beutifull wiev of the city. Near by Lysgårsbakken you can find many places to go by cross country skeeing. North of Lillehammer you find Kvitfjell and Hafjell. Fameus downhill ski places. And if you want a nice hotel you should try Pellestova in the mountains of hafjell.

We have the same top 5 (4 actually, Oslo is still not my favorite favorite, unfortunately) cities in Norway. However, my life will never be the same after visiting Geiranger 🥰🥰🥰 Don't come back from Alesund without visiting Geiranger! Of note, I took a bus ride from Bergen to Alesund and I must say, I was so much mesmerized by the scenery that I had to get an extra memory card for my action camera after arrival at Alesund 😊 We took a bus until Hellesylt and then used a ferry trip which had tour guidance included. The trip was slow enough allowing us to see all notable waterfalls. And when I arrived at Geiranger, I immediately fell in love with the small heaven on Earth 🥰. I was considering moving there, then made more realistic plans and extended my visit for one more night 😊. The scenery from our cabin was breathtaking! We also visited Dalsnibba. I would recommend hiking from the parking spot instead of driving to the top. And I hope still there are snow walls on the way to the top. At the end of May, it was double my height. And waterfalls in Geiranger, more and more waterfalls. We had a very strong flow right in the corner of our cabin and I was enjoying it day and night, still, it was not enough!🥰🥰 Last not the least, don't come back without discovering the "Pulpit rock" of Geiranger. It may require some help to find the right spot. But when you find it, it will be pure joy! Have fun and enjoy it! Cheers!

@@AnnaGoldmanTravel It is currently Winter, And interestingly Pretoria has strange temperature fluctuations. The North Of Pretoria is Sub-Tropical, so it is mostly warm during winter. I stay in the east, where the temperature differs about 8 deg Celsius from North. So where I am, it is currently one of the coldest winters I have experienced yet. I was born and raised in the Free State Province, near Bloemfonetien, where winters are generally extreme. Our Summers are real hot yes, our best time of the year is from September to October and March/April, where the temperatures are a perfect 26-27 deg Celsius. What we do: Fishing, Swimming, Braai (Barbeque) is a big thing here, Camping, Hiking, Bungee, Surfing (best waves in the world in Jeffreys Bay), Sporting Events, Lots of cultural things (we have 11 official languages, I am Afrikaans, but can speak 5). If you are buying things like fishing things or tent pr things to go outside in the nature, look for the store Xxl lower prices here. If you must have someting to your car look for Biltema.

I used to travel across the country by car when working in contract archaeology; but it's been many years since I could afford to buy and maintain my own vehicle. I'm only able to plan this trip because I'm in the process of inheriting money from my late Mom's estate (she passed away just over two months ago, alas). But perhaps I'll manage to obtain a driver's license before I head for Norway next summer, as planned...

The lake Sømåa that go in to the fantastic lake Istern west for Femunden. Kanoo in istern and use a tent her around the sea is werry niice. Its lovly if you like fishing here to. Eadt for femunden you find Fenunden national park. Old forrest big old treas and lovly to go kanoo or going in mountest and old forrest. In the south east you find Elgå. Here you can take Femund 2 to Synnervika just outside Røros and the mines. 70 km south for Femunden you find Trysil. A nice place to stay if you lik downhill skeeing. Engerdal where Femundrn is and Trysil is just few kilometers from Sweden. And you find agoodlocal shops to buy cheeper things in Sweden. So if you driving east you should visit the near by shops in sweden when you are in Trysil or Engerdal. In between Trysil and Engerdal you find s litle mountain called Skagsvola. Beutifull on the top here. Skagsvola is on the side of a lKe called Engern or Engersjøen. If you are in Engerdal and goes thrue Drevsjø and then into Sweden you can Find another Downhill mountains called Idre. Norwegians who live at tje east of the country are buying food in sweden. So if you planing to stay long in the east side of Norway check out posibilities to shop in Sweden. Rent a car and buy food in sweden. Special meat and Alchol are mush cheeper in Sweden. When we Norwegians gies for shoping in Sweden we calles it Harrytur. If you not have a car to go to Sweden use the the local stores to buy food not in resturant. Make you own food instead of resturant if you will save money. Or else we have many good resturants. And if you go by driving car remember to visit gas stations in the bigger cities because it will cost you less money there. And in Norway the fuel prices is lower in some days, like sunday and monday morning.

If you message me the dates you'll be in Ålesund, I'll happily guide you. Also, if you're here for a weekend, and it's not pouring, I'll take you through Trollstigen on a motorcycle, if you'd like. Or Atlanterhavsvegen, if you prefer.

Do you know that Scandinavia is connected to Scanda (aka Kartkieya, aka Murgan) ? He is the son of god Shiva in India. Scanda was very good at martial arts (Kalaripayattu, father of Kung Fu and Karate) and was commander in chief of gods. In ancient times Scanda sent his warriors and people from south India to today's Scandinavia to establish a new kingdom.

Don’t worry, people see a person not a passport 😉 I’m Jewish which is usually worse 😂 Just treat people they way you want to be treated. And if any nasty bastard says anything what you find offensive, smile, turn around and walk away - never get to low level of uneducated people 😉

What about Skarsvåg? :P By the way there is a Hell in Norway, Michigan USA, Netherlands... and a "Hölle" (the German word for hell) in Naila, Austria and so on :D and given the original context of heaven and hell... you could roughly say: earth was heaven until we made the hell out of it due to greed and so on... sad but true... live could be better for everyone but that would be a long discussion at a fire crackling i the fireplace and everyone feels "koselig"
