People in the comments: I've been climbing with BG selfmill. I recommend you try it as it is extremely powerful at playing threats quickly and consistently all while picking your opponent's plan apart. The deck is extremely weak to graveyard hate, though. I have not really played since Dominaria United, so this was a perfect video for me. I had some crafting saved up. Just enough for 1 of these and about 80% towards a second. I didn't want to use my Rares and Mythics quite yet with so little of the current set. I went with bats, almost out of random pick. Man is that deck hilarious. It got me to Silver 3 with only two losses, both to very stacked Mythic decks down in bronze. That being said, it normally destroyed much more powerful decks. When the engine starts, and it starts easy, it is basically too late to do anything about it. Fun little starter deck for the current standard.

Loving the decks! Could you please give some suggestions for black discard to go black/white with less thought about the lands? I was thinking about the 3WW sorcery that destroys all creatures then returns one of yours. Any suggestions from you?

It’s a beat of one deck really but if you wanna go best of 3 I’d add in some removal into the sideboard for sure.

So I built the discard deck for standard and went to play it, and it said I had 15 illegal cards in it. Is it because I'm still in spark ranked or something, am I too new?

Hmm it doesn’t matter what rank you’re in buddy. Check the deck format is right for the deck as it can change it after export. If that’s right try just manually putting in the cards. Let me know how it goes?

Would be pretty cool to make a video trying to upgrade these decks, you could even try and use some of the rares the starter deck give you.
