Hell he's a natural salesman. I've lived here my whole life, I've finally got an opportunity else where, a killer one at that. And the state of Indiana is clutching onto my sack as though I was smoking weed in the US Capitol on Jan 6.... all because Im a liberal and the cop at the bar the girl and I were at in broadripple got jealous of my date. This place is dog shit at best, a brain drain of its own in all honestly. Im in tech and guess where me or my people ever want to work, you guessed it, anywhere in Indianapolis. There is tech, but there is no talent. And the coppers beat people for drinking at bars despite not fighting, having drugs, or any weapons.. its just pathetic. I'm getting the hell out of here as soon as indiana lets me, this place compromised is not constitutional

Keep in mind all the east west roads north of the circle are in 10th of a mile from the circle. So 10th st is 1 mile from the circle. 38th st is 3.8 miles, 96th st is 9.6 miles etc. This goes al the way to 296th st the boarder of Hamilton and Tipton county line.

I was born in Indianapolis, and lived in Brownsburg from 1950 to 1955. My parents built a house in Avon, I think it was on White Like Rd, and lived there from 1955 to 1958. Then, we moved to Eagledale in 1958 to 1962. They built a home on a Cul-du-sac on the west side of Indianapolis, right off of 38th and High School Rd. I attended Northwest High School, which I discovered is no longer there. I attended Indiana University in downtown Indianapolis. )The buildings were ancient) and worked downtown at the Bell Telephone Building. Upon graduation, I was promoted and transferred to northern Indiana in 1976. From there I was again promoted and transferred to New Jersey in 1985. I moved to sw Florida in 1996. I only got back to Indianapolis to attend family funerals. Since everyone in my Indianapolis has either moved out-of-state, or is deceased, it’s been years since I’ve been there. Just curious about a few othings… 1) when did they change the name of the stadium back to Victory Field from Bush Stadium 2) why haven’t they updated that hideous gold mirrored building near the Bell building. 3) My grandparents lived on the 2300 block of Alabama St, which became so dangerous in 1964 they had to move. I heard it’s now safe there. 4) why did they stop gilding the dome on the beautiful Indiana Capitol building 5) Is the “humming bridge“ across White River still standing? 6) is the “ haunted bridge” in Avon still standing? Thanks for your postings.!

I commute from the NW side of the city (W Carmel) to the Southeast (UIndy). Traffic and construction issues aside it is about 30 minutes. It would be nice though if we had decent public transportation. I know, a work in progress. Indianapolis is the largest US city that lacks a tram/subway system.

I'm an Indianapolis native, bornandraised here I've watched several of your videos now and I enjoy them. However I've noticed that whenever you talk about culture and recreation here, especially the sports culture, you never mention racing. Indianapolis is the racing capital of the world. Our motorsports culture is massive with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil Raceway. We host some of the biggest events in racing like Indy 500, the Brickyard 400, and the National Drags, just to name a few. Why do you never mention these?

Good video, but no mention of the world’s largest sporting event? Before the Pacers and Colts and Final 4s, the Indy 500 was it. And it was called ironic that the most spectacular event took place in a city which otherwise had nothing. That has all changed. The 500 now is the flagship event for a whole array of things.

On another note... if you draw any type of pension from another state... they tax it here. It’s a huge negative. Many states don’t do that. Surprised Indiana doesn’t change this. It may drive away educated people/savers. Just a thought.
