Bro, I have been absolutely smashing big ones skipping under docks with a hover rig and a reaction innovation sweet beaver 4:20 in the Flora-Bama color! I’ve been catching lots of numbers on a finesse 3/16ths Oz tush with a zoom swimming fluke!! Unfortunately I’m not on a grass lake so the swim jig is a super tough bite here. Of course the whacky rig is a hot water machine!!

I won't tell what I use for now, but I must say the Redline Tungsten Ball Jighead is winning. The 128S Last Ace is a very good lure. That is my plastic pick. Hope they have a 110S. I know they make a 110F. For the money, Micro Spunk Shad is on point. I think it's better than the tournament-winning Mooch. For sure the KastKing folding net is a winner. Vanford gets better every time with the Stella trickle down and retains its price. You cannot beat the internal on that thing for the money.

Great video thanks. The other day me and my son were out and it was super hot. I had only caught a couple on a swim bait and my son a had one he got dragging a worm. The bass were hanging at 25 feet just setting on top of the thermocline which was way above the bottom so he couldn’t drag his worm (that’s about all he will use lol), so he decided to throw my crank bait. I said that won’t work it won’t get down there. I remember watching a video of a guy putting a square bill on a Carolina rig to fish it deep but with no bottom I tried a different idea. I put a really small drop shot weight on pegged it so it would stay around 20 inches from the bait and told him to watch it on FFS so he could keep it above the bass and bam he caught one. Then another and then another. I was like wait… that worked lol. So anyway we spent the next couple hours looking for schools on the thermocline and him catching a couple out of each school totaling 9 bass. Now it’s a trick I’ll be trying to master. Idk if it’s a good enough thing to work allot but it worked once. lol. Again great video thanks.

Same here. Never caught anything with frogs. Lol. Almost caught a real frog with a fake frog. I know for a fact the action of a frog bait is horrendous. I have seen how it is used in its best way; over mats and open holes. I learned but never had the chance. In CA, there's not really too many places you need a frog. In my 40 years, have only seen one time you would need a frog in this CA lake and it was during that long wet year....it built so much high grass that you can't throw anything but a frog.

All good recommendations. I'd probably plug in a compact spinnerbait as well. I struggle this time of year, when the water temps are in the high 70s, low 80s. I can catch one here and there, but rarely do I get into a pile of them.

i fish a sm lake 100 acres and mainly use finesse wacky worms & ned rig..some dsys are ok dome not.but i slwsy see bass chasing minnows up to the shore.but when i put on a crankbait they dont bite it. any tips?

Swimbait smaller than 3" on a 1/8oz ball head jig (or smaller) or finesse TUSH. Crappie baits or trout worms work as well. If you use #6 hooks you can also get panfish as well.

Had a tough day last weekend, but got some bites on what I dubbed a ShakeyNed. 2/3rds of a General rigged on a shakeyhead jig. They didn't seem to want the trickworm or full-sized senko, but got both smallie and largemouth bites on this.

I quit fishing Senkos. They make fishing too easy. Frogs only have two use for me; matted top or high weeds everwhere. It is not a favorite lure bc Commiefornia doesn't really have those conditions. The real frog I have seen that is crazy is light brown with two yellow lightning bolts on both sides running down the back. Vixen has a lot of flaws. Good lure, poor design. Ned doesn't have the required speed or distance.
