I recently bought a used 2014 Journey that did not shift well. Unfortunately, I did not recognize it when I test drove it. I did the accelerator to the floor routine with the car on and off but not running. Amazing. It up and downshifts much better. Thanks

If taking the “pull the fuse” approach, can you just pull the fuse, wait a bit, then replace the fuse or are you saying you have to pull the battery power then pull the fuse and replace it? Thanks for clarifying (1:10)

Ive got a 2002 Dodge Caravan that goes into reverse then when i go forward it wont shift out of low gear and when i let off the throttle it goes into glid mode how do i get it to shift

Early 41te transmissions can be reset by de-energizing the TCM but later 41te TCMs can only be reset with a scan tool.

We have 2005 Dakota bought used. It has po700 and po 770 starts out in. Third gear Ok at highway speeds but not shifting correctly threw the gears. Im leaning towards shift solenoids being shot out , but I heard it could be bad tcm as well. What has me also interested is that when we bought it I remember the guy saying that the check engine light came in when he had the computer replaced. Thinking maybe he got a used computer with a bad tcm ? But he also thought the truck drive fine so he didn’t seem too knowledgeable or was just playing dumb How can I figure out if it’s a computer issue vs a mechanical? Any tips tricks appreciated

Tranny in 2011 dakota has hard down shift from 4th to 3rd when coasting,I'm gonna try to reset tcm.

I have a 2016 chrysler 200s 3.6l that will get stuck in whatever gear im driving in. Usually 5th thru 8th gear. Ill have to pull over and shut off the car. Than restart it. Everything fine again.

Had a similar issue on my old chevy, it was the tcc regulator valve. Could be a number of things though but that’s someone I would definitely look into

@@rodneythomas885 on my Chevy i did, got a Sonnax tcc regulator installed and that solved those issues, can’t seem to figure out my dodge tho, tried resetting the tcm but no luck gonna see if I can get my mechanic buddies code reader and see if I can clear it like that. Mine just keeps skipping fourth it goes from 3 to 5 and if it does shift into 4th it’s for maybe two seconds, I can manually shift them tho and it does great so idk

PTCM on 2015 ram u61 recall shop clears all codes replace battery. U61 recall doing same b4 recall install been erased / recall to factory settings !any info on how could happened ?

Might be a bit late but there’s a tensioner cable that can become loose and it’ll make it do that, usually between 4-5 and 5-6, at least the way I understand from the way you described it, it just goes back and forth between gears

Ive also got a 2014 Dodge Journey that i just change the battery in it and it drove fine for about a hours run time then after i shut it down and went to start it again all the lights come on and stay on even tells me that the alternator is not charging does the same thing so i tried another new alternator and got the same results how do i fix this i need the car to go to work monday at 5am and its a new job and i dont want to be fired can anyone please help me with this problem
