My next match is on the 16th against forest U21 I can’t wait but I might not start and I think that the last tip is very important because either am currently around 4th or 5th choice and I don’t think I am ever gonna play at my club.

It sounds like you're in a tough spot, but you're approaching it with the right mindset by focusing on improvement and staying ready 💪🧤 Here's some advice I gave another keeper: 1. Is the current training helping you grow and reach your potential? 2. Does the new club have a proven track record of developing goalkeepers? 3. Are you willing to adapt to a new environment and possibly work harder to prove yourself at the new club? If you believe the new club will give you the tools to grow faster, it might be worth the move. Trust your instincts and do what feels best for your growth as a goalkeeper. Good luck! 🧤⚽

Great video, as usual, especially No. 2. I remember early on in my career when I was getting noticed, lots of coaches came out of the woodwork wanting to 'help' my game. All with great intentions however. And, as you said, I tried to take too much advice on board to 'improve' my game, from high diving drills to crosses and everything in between. I became a confused mess and started hemorrhaging goals on game day, stuck in a self-doubt no-man's land. I ended up sticking with one coach and focussing on the basics over and over. Goalkeeping is a mental discipline no doubt about it!!
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping3 күн бұрын
That's the spirit! Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to goalkeeping! 👍 And that was exactly my situation also. And although, I tend to exaggerate a little in the videos so people get the point, this is the reality we live in today. SO much advice that it's difficult not to be overwhelmed. And yes, basics is everything - boring but it's true 🙂

Hey, I'm a young goalkeeper from India and I want your advise on something. I'm at the best team in my state but I don't feel the training is good enough should I change my club with the better training, yes or no.
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Hi there! First off, congratulations on being with the best team in your state-that’s an incredible achievement! When it comes to deciding whether to stay or move, ask yourself a few questions: 1. Is the current training helping you grow and reach your potential? 2. Does the new club have a proven track record of developing goalkeepers? 3. Are you willing to adapt to a new environment and possibly work harder to prove yourself at the new club? Better training can be a game-changer, but don’t forget to consider factors like playing time and your overall development. If you believe the new club will give you the tools to grow faster, it might be worth the move. Trust your instincts and do what feels best for your growth as a goalkeeper. Good luck! 🧤⚽

Hey if my field is all in snow and its very deep.Where i must train?
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping3 күн бұрын
Hey, if your field is covered in deep snow, no worries - you can still keep your training sharp indoors or in alternative spaces! You can do core strength, footwork, reaction training, and flexibility exercises at home or in a gym. You can also use a wall for passing and handling practice. If you have access to indoor facilities, even better! Keep those skills sharp no matter the conditions. 💪❄️🧤 P.S. My pitch is also frozen right now but I'm still training ;)

@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Great question! Communication is key for a goalkeeper. Keep your instructions simple and clear during the game, like 'Man on!' or 'Mark up!' Focus on being calm and confident when guiding your team - it helps them stay focused too. To cheer them up, use positive phrases like 'Great effort!' or 'Next one’s ours!' Even when things aren’t going well, your energy can lift the team. Keep practicing this - it makes a huge difference! 💪🧤

when you dive are you supposed to feel the pain in the hips after many repitions or on the side of the knees? maybe im doing it wrong because i feel it on the side of the knees
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Feeling pain on the side of your knees after diving could indicate that your technique needs a slight adjustment. Ideally, when diving, you should distribute the impact across your body to minimize stress on any single area. Here’s how to refine your technique: Land on the Correct Areas: Focus on landing on the side of your thigh and hips rather than your knees. The knees should only be part of the initial push-off and not bear the brunt of the impact. Use Your Hands to Absorb Impact: When diving, let your arms and hands lead the motion. They can help absorb some of the impact, reducing the strain on your knees and hips. Work on Sliding Technique: Properly executed dives often include a slight sliding motion, especially on grass or turf. This helps dissipate the impact across a larger area. Inspect Your Surface and Gear: If you’re training on a hard surface or without adequate padding, it’s easy to land awkwardly. Consider investing in padded shorts or using a softer surface for repetitive dive drills. If the knee pain persists, it might be worth taking a break from repetitive diving drills and focusing on form correction with lighter movements. Overuse injuries are common in goalkeeping, so listen to your body and adjust as needed. 🧤💪

You forgot to shout me out 😢 Also I am at a club who aren’t at my level right now but the club that wants me only wants in case of injury to the main gk what should I do
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping2 күн бұрын
Hey buddy. I'm not really doing shoutouts :) That’s a tricky situation! It might be worth considering how much game time and development you’d get at each club. If your current club isn’t challenging you enough but gives you consistent playing time, it might be better to stay for now and continue improving your skills. On the other hand, joining the new club, even as a backup, could push you to grow by training with a higher-level team. It depends on your long-term goals - do you want consistent matches now or the challenge of breaking into a stronger lineup? Trust your instincts and always focus on improving!
