I could definitely see the junker’s going out to fight Null sector purely because of their hatred for omnics. Which would possibly lead to Hammond making contact with Winston, and further maybe an alliance between the Queen and overwatch. I can also easily see junkrant and roadhog somehow sneaking onto the ship for extra chaos.

Totally works. Protect their own backyard and save Australia ad a byproduct! Hammond and Winston, particularly if you read Hammonds story in Heroes Ascendant, is a potential thing in future. Video on that one soon@

Kinda sucks this was revealed in a book though, Junkrat is my favorite character in overwatch, and now his big secret is revealed, he won't have much story presence

This particular story is on the Overwatch website in media section for free! I think there is more story for rat and hog for sure, but they may be part of the bigger Junker picture now.

I love that you are going through all the stories. Thank you! I never thought about the Junkers possibly helping with the omnic crisis despite how much they despise them. And i always thought Roadhogs emote where he interactswith digital screen seemed off brand but maybe it was a tease for the technology they find. On that subject, i look forward to hearing about Ana and Roadhog's relationship due to there voiceline together and them both having tea cups from the same set in their drink pose

You're welcome! Sorry it has taken a while since the book released, when the book was first out, work was silly busy. I'm now more free so able to try spending more time on KZbin (and catching up a bit with vids I've wanted to make) again :) Ana and Roadhog in junkertown in the past, that'd be a cool flashback! I think there could be a very pragmatic bit to the Junkers in Australia - they don't want the crisis coming to them. So, maybe it's looking out for their own interests rather than helping others!

@@Hammeh As much as a lore head I am for Overwatch, I wasn't even aware of this book! So no worries there...but as a ball main, I'm excited for hampster lore! Yes ...I think that is the better wording. The junkers are gonna do what they need to do for themselves. It's just convenient if it helps the world at large.

Am I the only one who thinks Junker Queen’s personality in game is different than in her cinematic and stories. In game she just sounds crazy, dumb and angry. Other stories make her seem somewhat smarter and nicer, less insane. Maybe it’s just me idk

She's a bit of both I think! Cinematic is a third wall breaking action packed moment of her life. We don't see all her day to day in those, stories are a nice was to get a little deeper into things!

These weird and wild omnics are actually referred to at the beginning of Hammond's story! Not precisely, but similar - so, these really out there omnics are somewhat canon!

It really feels like it could have been! That said - development wise, maybe it was a pitched idea that then got passed on to be given a short story instead, or perhaps was just made for a story :)

Such a shame that they didn't do anything with Hammond and the cliff hanger, since this came out right before the WB rework. Could've been the perfect setup for it. I do believe that, since it's not apart of the WB rework, that the treasure was an null sector-esque ship of sorts.

Hammond has his own story, so the cliffhanger is mildly expanded on but still left. The Junkers are repairing this treasure, to get it fly with giant components :)
