I wasn't going to comment Anthony, because I'm getting ready to do something with my sister and my dad. "But when you said, " if I can't get a job at a university, I'll make my own University." Wow!!! The only one cooler than you is Coltrane and Bob Seger...

Thanks as always for your kind words and support. The coolest thing about the global rise in interest around memory techniques is that recently a PhD was announced for studying memory techniques. And I recently submitted a book chapter for a scholarly volume on sense and memory. I don't know if the final piece will wind up in the book, but if not, I'll release it independently. Hopefully it will, though. And hopefully more and more interest in memory techniques will continue to grow. Thanks again for all your support of the mission. Things are happening and couldn't be happening without you!

Let go of the outcome as the end is always different from what your mind thinks! I worry about what to bring to a potluck!

„Splintered by the splinternet“ is my favourite takeaway from this video. It’s a great mantra to remember before I decide to turn towards the great distractor. Also fantastic: remember four things on a person you meet. So good! Thank you Anthony!

Definitely worth keeping that one close to heart and mind. And great that you know the 4-details exercise. It's very powerful.

You may find value in watching some of Eizel Mazards lectures. His charactor makes a lot of people mad, but if you can look past his charactor you can enjoy the fruits of his mind.

Thanks for checking this one out. I don't know why, but something in my gut told me recently that it's time to return to the themes in The Victorious Mind and start deepening them. And some of your comments have leaned in the direction of more content around this as well. I've already got another video shot that I think you'll find beneficial along these lines, so please stay tuned.

Anthony I really value your work could you please please share me the quote I'm Sanskrit or the reference that explains nothing is really ours and it comes from the ocean and goes back to it?
@AnthonyMetivierMMM7 ай бұрын
Sure thing. It's the second verse of this mantra: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXvQiHmhib90g8U I would suggest looking at the translation in Gary Weber's Happiness Beyond Thought, however. It's more nuanced than the one in the video linked above.

Hey Anthony, I was wondering about the Sanskrit that you've memorised, was it all from happiness beyond thought? Or were there other sources that you've memorised? I am just wondering what I should put next on my reading list 😊
@AnthonyMetivierMMM7 ай бұрын
Some of it is from Happiness Beyond Thought. Other pieces are from other Gary Weber books, and the one I'm memorizing now I recite a bit of in this recent video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJqmeoGaqsiNh9E In this case, the book has only the English, so I've had to find the Sanskrit on my own. I wrote it into the book myself, which is also naturally useful to do as part of the memorization process. Any books you've read recently that struck a nerve myself and others might want to know about?

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM Not yet really, I am working my way through the yoga sutras right now and will make a start on "On the Shadows of Ideas" very soon. I have been watching some of Martin Faulks' videos and have been thinking of starting some kind of contemplative meditation exercises, not sure where to start though
@AnthonyMetivierMMM7 ай бұрын
One way to think of the "where to start" question is to just choose anywhere. If there was a special starting point known to work for one and all, everyone would know about it. Finding your own - the one you'll actually stick with for the long term - is its own lesson in contemplation. Does this way of looking at things make sense and help you out?
