How do you spell the joy thing you mentioned at about 4:40? It sounds interesting and I’d like to read more about it, and maybe have some context when you make a video on it 😁
@AnthonyMetivierMMM2 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking about this. It's Zhou Yi, at least that's one way of spelling it. If you don't find it under that spelling, try 周易.

@AnthonyMetivierMMM A sleep story or guided meditation for sleep. I use a metta wheel sometimes. It doesn't always work though. Metta wheel...a alphabet wheel and numbers assigned to a person.

It’s so rare people say with genuinity SEE a physician. There are so many bad and mediocre doctors, but there is NOTHING like having a genuine biochemistry nerd who is as smart as an engineer going to bat for you and your problems. Find that doctor, marry them, and be you best self

I'm using a technique that I haven't really seen before that I auto wrote to myself. Sure, I used what others have added to the human condition to create it of course. Its a simple reclaiming process, involving an active imagination, 1) Listen to the inner dialogue, let it take form in the imagination. 2) When it starts to loop pick it up and reform into a ball of clay. Make it take another form I use sphere, cube, pyramid. 3) when it loses the emotional charge, I, the watcher place it into my chest, now I am not split into fragments of mind, and can carry on authentically. Feel free to use it if it helps you. Regards, Leon.

I do your nostril alternate breathing when I have negative thoughts and it helps cancel them out and then they don't come back most of the time

Thanks for mentioning breathing. It is also a powerful tactic that is under-utilized in today's world. Or at least, so it seems.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM How about breaking down complex topics and simplfying them into memory pegs? Apologies if You have done this OR memory methods and overcoming bad habits/personal development....but not into therapy/counselling etc which is a lot deeper

Thanks for this suggestion. Have you done that with success before? Normally, I don't simplify complex topics as such. Rather, I do this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3qlomChbtWDlas Does the material in that tutorial make sense and help you out?

Professor, the current research in positive psychology promotes gratitude journaling as being most effective only once or twice a week, with more than three actually having a net negative effect over time
@AnthonyMetivierMMM2 ай бұрын
The current research needs to include me in it during the next study. I have done it daily across several years with a massive net positive.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM I have tried one of Tony Buzan's techniques, and I've wanted to learn the memory palace thing, but it felt too hard. I know that means I need to do this. You won't believe how timely and serendipitous finding this channel is. I can feel my brain is struggling, and I don't want to lose ANY of its functioning. I'm such a late-starting writer, and I want to write until I'm too old to breathe. I'll be following you closely. ♥️
@AnthonyMetivierMMM2 ай бұрын
Great that you know of Buzan. He was a great mentor and supporter of my work. In my experience, memory training helps writers a great deal. It doesn't have to start with Memory Palace, but I have tried to make learning to use this technique as easy as possible. Each person brings their own obstacles, so just shout out if questions arise along the way. I'm happy to help people push past them wherever and whenever I can. To that end, the message in this older video about what I believe "memory mastery" actually means might be useful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5yamaKqrq2Fhc0

Tbh, making shorter videos would share your time and ours. Could you get to the point faster?
@AnthonyMetivierMMM2 ай бұрын
If you know the point and want to help script my videos, you're very welcome. Otherwise, consider my "get to the point" rebuttal here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gou8oaiJiZV7l9E And consider writing longer comments in the future. Tbh, longer comments would do a lot more for the world. The evidence is everywhere when it comes to developing skills that matter.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM thank you for your feedback to my feedback. I'll watch the video and send you a version of a script that i would preffer and maybe others too. May i email it to you? Ps. World shouldn't be counted but weighted. - some greek philosopher
@AnthonyMetivierMMM2 ай бұрын
As interesting as that might be (keeping in mind that I already said you're welcome to submit a version), what would be even better is this: Write your own script in your own words. Shoot it and publish it to your own channel. Then, provided you're lucky enough to get viewers, you'll likely have people giving you feedback too. Plus, I'll likely see content by a fellow memory expert. If its good, I'll want to interview you and it will help boost your own channel. If it's not good enough for you to record on your own channel, chances are I won't want to use it either. Especially since I don't know what the point is other than what I've said about being focused on points in the video I linked you to. In all things, thanks for your interest and hope to see content on your channel that fits the standards you find important.
