I’m a 28 yrs Black woman in USA, I made friends with a 10 year older than me JP guy. His English isn’t great but He always tells me how hardworking I am and how he knows I’ll go far. Every time we meet he opens up more and more about family and friends and he asks me about my life, my goals and family. I think he is trying to see if our future plans align. On one beach date, he offered to take my portraits and while he was taking them he said “beautiful” but he didn’t say “you’re beautiful” lol so idk if it’s the same intent.. he splits his time from USA and JP so our dates and communication aren’t consistent. These phrases opens my eyes to the meaning behind what he had said to me lol

It just depends on how much they do or do not know you and how rural the place is. If you find a rural enough location even more so somewhere like ultra rural China but probably to a lesser degree super rural Japan you might have a place in some little farming village where those people have never once met a foreigner in person. In the middle of tokyo yeah they probably just thought that you were hot.

I clicked on this one because i felt the title so awkward: "How to make people like you?". Is it really necessary? Don't people come together because of compatibility? What is the point of faking it? So many questions... let's watch. The thing is... I can't really speak japanese but i understand all these lines in japanese without needing a translation... why? Overall, i now understand the purpose of this. It is basically: "Understand that what you are used to may not translate well in Japan, so try adapting by using this instead". It sounds difficult to me, because it feels like taking roundabout ways to says things, and i am totally not used to that. I am french, and french are very direct, more than Americans.

I recently found your channel and become a subscriber, so I saw only a couple of videos, but this one made me think and realise I do not even remember when was the last time a girl tried to impress me. Usually in my country a man has to do everything and the woman sits pretty.... even if she is not pretty, it is rude not to accept her as she is! So annoying. I have nothing against women who hate make up or like to wear casual clothes, but come on at least once in a while, which is not once a year... try a little bit... or go to the other end... if she is high maintenance woman... it is all about my monthly income, and if I call her out being a gold digger I am the bad guy, because I am not mature enough to understand that they need and deserve a man who can take care of her. So rubbish... For me I only care if the woman hates or likes the job she is doing because a lot of times I find people hating their job. I usually work in an environment that I like. Being a teacher, working in administration or working with other may be in a team; Majority of the time they say they like it, but still imply they only work there because they need to pay the rent, that is not the same thing. Rend over XD Sorry about that.
