The Hansi Flick play style is no different to what we saw from Xavi's Barcelona this season.. 1.high press 2.high back line.. 3. attacking oriented fullbacks to get many players in attacking areas to create more chances of scoring.. If Our attackers were efficient enough to finish off these chances created I'm pretty sure the conversation would've been different, but it's all good, XAVI deserved better tbh.. I'm just hoping everything goes on well next season 😢

I agree. I think the main difference will come to the training. Most Barcelona coaches have always focused on their touch, positioning and not so much on the physique. Considering Flick trained the Bayern team where all players had really good physique, i think that will make the difference. That should help with the injuries too if the players are better physically. Of course, it's only speculating. I'm hoping this team improves physically and be similar to Flicks bayern's team.

We hardly ever high pressed. Our players were tired by the 35th minute in each match. Whenever we would score we would tend to drop back and defend. Look at us against PSG and Real Madrid two of our most important matches this season. On top of that we were playing slow and indirect football for the majority of the season.

I wish football can have such a long break like up to 6months so that Hansi can really work on the physique of this players. Secondly I want Barca to sign a mature right winger even if not a big name for the big games, we can't afford for yamal to miss like he did against Athletic Bilbao this season. Yamal needs to take a secondary role next season and work on his physicality a lot, all these while avoiding injury. Hansi should really prioritize Nico, he's definitely that guy on the LW.

Y’all have to wait with Gavi. We have NO idea how he is going to turn out once he comes back. ACL injuries are no joke, it’s destroyed tons of careers because it ruins a players pace and stamina. Thinking Gavi would come back to form immediately upon returning is just way too high expectations to have. Look at Militao at RMA. He was their best CB who recently came back from an ACL injury, and he’s been dreadful. Watch the game Real Madrid had with Villarreal last week, he was absolutely shocking.

People compare Balde to Davies way too much, the main thing they really got in common is that they're fast and young. Balde is way more of a defensive fullback and still isn't great at crossing while Davies was way more attacking and further up the field most games. I do think Balde would be good at the agressive press Flick will want cause of his pace and thus the ability to cover big spaces quickly. I'm also interested in what Barca is going to do with Eric Garcia after a great season at Girona, I'll personally think he'll fit great in with the cb rotation especially because Christensen now plays in the midfield. I think Garcia and Cubarsi would be great alternatives for eachother, as the slower but technical ball playing centreback while Arauja (and Faye?) would be the faster, stronger and more agressive defender, ready to use their pace to cover the great distances left open because of the risky high pressing Flick does. I get the Muller comparisons with Fermin but personally I think they are pretty different. Fermin is more of a boxcrasher (like Donny vd Beek at Ajax was) and claims the spaces Lewa leaves open when he drops deep or moves out of position to help with link up etc. While Muller's movement created space for Lewa upfront to put him space to get into goal scoring positions.

What excites me so much about Yamal is that he can easily be even better than Mbappe with a very good development. He not scoring more goals is totally understandable because he’s always wide and has to get the ball, dribble and find his way inside the box which Dembele was doing without goals but more assists and yet we called him our best winger so a 16 y/o doing this should scare our rivals. And those comparisons to Güler who’s more central in a team that is better is just stupid. And also Yamal can’t use his right foot more so imagine him getting over that weakness. He’s so young and doing these things which proves this boy is really Barca’s salvation and it’s up to the club to decide if they are gonna f it up or take advantage of that.

I think it was time for a change, but i think there was a better way to handle this. Xavi had already said he was quitting. I don't understand why the board begged him to reconsider just to do this. It just looks bad. Plus, from my understanding the board was still in talks with Flick while they were asking Xavi to reconsider. I have a theory that the initial talks with Flick wasn't promising, so they decided to talk to xavi. Once Xavi made the board look bad by talking (even though he was saying the truth) they just decided to get rid of him. I think money was probably the initial issue with Flick. I'm pretty sure Flick will cost more than Xavi.

Board members were dissatisfied with how players were trained and even some players complained to board members about this issue . Deco too was not happy about how they were trained. Ask yourself why Barcelona want former Pep physical trainer as part of Xavi technical team. By the way most of the time, Barcelona players were already tired within 60 minutes of match games and they will loose concentration that is why our games against Real Madrid and Girona were scored five to ten minutes during second half.

Gavi would perform best as a box to box midfielder. He has the energy and mentality to be running up and down the field, helping defend, creating going forward. He is literally the engine to this team. Unfortunately he won’t return until the second half of the season. He shouldn’t be a starter, he needs to be eased back into the first team and we have to be really cautious with him.

Sorry but nah, Gavi doesn't shine as a CMD, hes a great midfielder but near attack zones, there is where he does his fast ball recoveries and creates HUGE danger. The same goes for Fermín. Flick gonna have to use some kids from La Masia like Garrido or Prim, or I even see possibilities in changing Cubarsí from Central Defender to CMD, since he has an INSANE long pass.
