Direction , skills, .. outstandin Mr Chirst .. 6th grade teacher.. motivator, outstandin Mrs. Roper... 4th grade Math... she was a teacher Brother Medina ... Pastor .. inspire Ralph Mohica .. my son baseball coach a true leader motivator and director . Mann he was outstandin with his team. kids learn and played well for him . Coach Willie .. this guy could lift anyone and bring out the best. and last my PoPs.... 82nd Airborne , Dad, Coach, Father, the Best ..Numero uno # 1 ... You guys are AMAZING .. never complained about anythin in life. Just high energy powerful True Leaders .. ...thanks you very much !

Good luck to you Dwayne. I've been coaching soccer for about 6 years now. You will be blessed for coaching, in ways you can't even see now. If I may offer a bit of advice...teach your team to not measure success by wins and losses, but by how much they've grown and learned. This will help them to not define themselves by the score, we tend to focus to much on that. Sometimes the journey is much sweeter than the final outcome. Blessings to you Dwayne.

Thanks coach! In the end we are selling 'belief' so: communication, dependability, loyalty, encouragement, and teaching. Loved how these were so much more important than the 'subject matter'. In other words ENGAGING the learner. The sport (any sport) isn't enough. We have to SELL BELIEF!!! I can feel it through the screen here again thanks coach! Gunny

Wooden seldom reinforced anyone in the form of praises and scolds, as we had expected. Instead, three-quarters of the teaching statements we recorded were packed with information and knowledge. His corrections came two or three times a minute, and each was rarely longer than 15 seconds in duration. He never lectured. For example, a young center hesitated after taking a rebound. He was supposed to wheel and pass the ball to begin a fast break. Coach immediately corrected him: “Pass it to someone short!” We later learned that Coach was ready with concise, timely corrections because he had carefully planned in advance what instruction the young center and others needed.

I love coaching. This is a really good video. The one I would add, at least for male coaches coaching boys, is father figure. In this day and age, whether you want that role or not, you are likely to acquire it. Depending on where you are, there is a high likelihood some of your players have no father present in their lives.

"avoid profanity" lol Good luck with that one coaches. We are approval junkies, use praise but choose your spots wisely. Let them know you care about them. Learn everything you can about your sport, knowing all rules like the back of your hand.
