Can you please pray for me? I have been doing online dating and trying to meet men in person but for years now God seems to be closing the door on marriage for me. Right now I feel called to just be single at the moment because I don't suffer well and I struggle with eating addiction and over buying. I am also really selfish. I need many graces and prayers to get out of this I guess, I have been fighting for so long. It feels hopeless and like God is against me, of course that's not true.

An easier road would be to attend young adult Church events. If she is pious and reverent, she'll be there, and women are more receptive when they are at events.
@bornbranded298 ай бұрын
You can reduce this to someone who attends Sunday Mass, every week, and goes to Confession, prays, etc. If they're just Catholic in name alone, you end up with an unbeliever. Also, don't use the term boyfriend/girlfriend, it's worldly and connected to premarital Mortal Sin.
@servornon8 ай бұрын
Yes, everyone listen to this person. Keep it simple, keep it sacramental.

The term boyfriend/ girlfriend applies to anyone in the dating phase of a relationship in our culture. There will always be a word to describe this. It does not necessitate sin.

To me personally most desirable thing in woman is her willingness to try not to judge people, and if she is having naturaly high empathy and kindness that's 10/10 But there is also another thing, simply asking myself can i live with this person (and her flaws) ? To raise a family with her and come home every day to her, will we motivate each other to strive better and have peace with each other.. That's my view 🙈😎

Well, not to be too flattering but you are the type I look for, but when I find them, they are already married, every one of them, there's a reason for that. The good ones are wifed up quick. I like that sweet soft voice, I can listen to it all day, very calming. I used to date any type, but now, I want her to be Catholic, for some reason I end up attracting protestant types, or maybe there's just more protestants. There's an issue I ran into, I have a bad facial scar, and it seems like it makes women afraid of me. I'm not like deformed, but, the cut went clean through my face, the steel actually gouged my teeth and gums and cut my lips in half. My face was literally hanging off when it happened with so much blood in the way I was having a hard time breathing. It patched up well considering, I thought I was going to look like a monster but the doctor did a good job. I can tell women are looking at it when I talk to them. It doesn't bother me, but it changes how I'm perceived and there's nothing I can do about it.

It's not your scare my friend. I wrote this in the main comments. " I have bad news that you will need to accept. 93% of men, Catholic and all others, are refusing to date. We call it "going monk". We don't approach. We reject any approach by women (There's a 99.97% chance it's to be used for our resources, emotional support and mobey...look up "foodie call"). Men want to be chosen. We have accepted that if we are good men and were passed over for years, we are not chosen...we are settled for after a woman doesn't get what she wants...coincidentally she "finds her faith" about this time. There's a 67% chance of divorce. We lose everything in a 50/50 divorce. Plus, we have to live financially strapped, alone, and without ANY type of s3x for life due to how Catholic marriage works after our wives divorce us. Wives initiate divorce 90% of the time. Being married also is likely to result in emotional abuze from our wives. Silent treatment. Emasculation. S3x as a punishment/reward system rather than connection. We have been continually been mocked, ridiculed, rejected, and dismissed throughout our lives. Passed over for the men women REALLY want...Good Catholic men that are TALL, highly educated, high income, great bodies who are dismissive of women, uncaring, and mildly sociopathic...but who will make good fathers. See the contradiction? What Catholic women say they want and what they actually pursue (are attracted to) are in opposition. There is NO difference between inside and outside of the Church. But let's say you find one of the .05% of single Catholic women that are uncommon. There is no guarantee that the culture will not eventually turn her into a Predat0r. Plus, 80% of women admit to being cheaters. (Again inside and outside of the Church is the same) So since female partners (lesbian s3x) are not counted by women it's likely 93%+. And Catholic women never call out other women on their behavior. Silence is endorsement. She might find some "loser" and settle for him. I can tell you there are millions of men who would likely be interested in each woman. But if a woman is having absolutely no success, she likely passed them over and they have left the game. For an above average man, he needs to message/contact 10,000 women on multiple dating platforms...JUST TO GET A RESPONSE. In real life it's 700-1,200 approaches and rejections to get a real date. If we are paying for dates, it means we need $1,000 in disposable income per month due to prices. We can't afford it. And if we go Dutch? Even if a woman says she's OK with it, inside as soon as a guy CAN pay, you leave. Guys WILL date overweight women. Our 3 criteria in order of importance... 1. kindness, 2. relatively cute (which is very individualized. I find women attractive that my buddy thinks are weird looking), 3. easy to talk to. That's it. Love, dating, and marriage are a rigged game for men. This isn't about men being fearful. MEN DON'T PLAY RIGGED GAMES. Sorry, but that's not our "feelings". These are facts. Find a life without women...because 54 million men have left the dating pool. We accepted the situation and moved on, building lives without a woman to love or children to love and raise. God's mission for us seems for us to become "Lay monastics"...and it sucks. You will need to come up with a new purpose. God is not punishing you. You are suffering because we have been dismissed by the culture and treated as disposable. Men abandoned relationships. So keep that in mind. 54 million men are/were suffering like you, but are coming to terms with it. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. My friend, she easily could have offered you her number. She could easily have said, "let's do coffee sometime." Couldn't she? If she actually found you attractive, she would have done that. They ALWAYS do. Next time, say this in a playful way..."Hey, so are you going to ask me out for coffee? I mean seriously, you seem totally obsessed with me and the whole cyberstalking thing is so 2018." It will likely be successful. It's called game. It's totally stupid. But try it. Just be playful, fake a little grandiosity. Then decide if playing that game is worth it. You will have a wonderful life if you choose to. But don't make it dependent on a partner and kids. Love you my new internet friend. Remember, you aren't alone. There's 54 million of us!

What i see many of my brothers and sisters fall into is the expectatctions of worldly desires. We are children of god and walk in the spirit not the flesh. We shouldnt be a community acting and seeking the same things non believers do. This will not make our father happy. The hardest things that we can overcome is our own wants. How many of us trust our father? How many of us seek him? Brothers and sisters i want tosee you all happy and not sad because of earthly desires and are fleshly. Many today are seeking for their own wants and not our fathers will. That hurts me. Our father loves us and created us for his pleasure. He loves us and doesn't want us to suffer in vain. We should trust his love and will for each of our lives. Seek him and ask him for the things you need not what you want. Measure not yourself with others. You have favor of the most loving and fair being, and you need to do is humble yourself and repent of your sins and then ask him. He knows what you need and how you are for he see's thats in secret. He wants to bless you openly and reward you. He his patient. He is in you and with you. All you need to do is call out to him and believe he is hearing you and believe you will hear him.

No doubt these qualities are desirable. Men and women all need to strive to allow the Holy Spirit to change us and grow His fruits of goodness within us. I just caution against anyone looking for a spouse to develop some kind of checklist that must be fully marked before pursuing marriage or even during marriage. Discern your vocation first. If to marriage, pray for the spouse that God wills you to have. Then discern the relationships that come. I think a marriage will be stronger if you truly believe if God brought you together instead of finding someone who checked all the boxes. These qualities certainly matter, but to think wives comes a ready made saints could lead a young man to despair. You're meant to grow with your spouse for the rest of your lives. As my spiritual director says, the answer to the question "Why do you love your wife?" is simply "because she's my wife."

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her." It goes both ways, so we should not belabor the point on women when men have the same duty. We must submit to one another. We are meant to forego power, to not Lord it over others, just as Christ became a slave. So, the woman obeys, and the man is a slave, haha. Let's not Lord over women.

Hi Nathalie, These seem like obvious Christian virtues, not only for Catholic women but for all women. Yes, we are all imperfect but here is something I noticed in your video that pertains to bringing a married woman closer to perfection. You are, as many modern women (whether they identify as feminists or not), a little ambiguous about how you define ‘submission’ to your husband, as St. Paul admonishes you. If you define what are the criteria for submission, then it’s not submission. I’m not talking about actual abuse or grave matters having to do with conscience, but simply because he is the head of the family! For further information, I would suggest, ‘Ask Your Husband’ by Stephanie Gordon. The Gordons are faithful Catholics with a beautiful family - very inspiring for any young Catholic couple who take the domestic Church seriously!

I mean actually I'm not planning on ever interacting with a woman outside of work ever again but theoretically this is how I feel.

She prays to Jesus’ mother, Mary, who is actually asleep and was a sinner, and is no one’s “Holy Mother.” Has rosary beads that are unbiblical. Takes the sacraments that are believed to be actually Jesus’ blood and flesh. Which is forbidden by the Bible because it’s cannibalism. Calls the church priest “father” even though the Bible forbids this. Goes to a church with biblically forbidden iconography all over the sanctuary.

What about "Submissive"? why didn't you mention that? What use is there in a wife who CANNOT FOLLOW...? "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands." Ephesians 5:22-24. Submission is not same-mission. It means that she puts herself under the authority of her new head - her husband. You catholics are always taking stuff out of context and redefining things. Please read the verses above slowly. Saint Paul wrote it out and spelled it out plainly for all to understand.
@juanis82198 ай бұрын
Yikes. I’m all for submission but please explain how any woman would want to submit to someone with an overbearing and prideful attitude like yours. I like how you conveniently left out the rest of that verse “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word, so as to present the church to himself in splendor, without a spot or wrinkle or anything of the kind-yes, so that she may be holy and without blemish.” Are you without spot or wrinkle? Are you prepared to give up your self and your life for her? Are you prepared to love her as yourself? Are you prepared to nourish and tenderly care for her? “In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hates his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church”
@delftfietser8 ай бұрын
I would think that such submission is acceptable, as long as what the husband is requesting of her does not have her disobey God who made her as well as her husband. She is to be godly, not "husbandly."
@whatever10688 ай бұрын
As if we don't hear about that everywhere and anywhere. Guess what? She doesn't have to have a submissive personality but submit to her husband. Two different things. When I hear men yap about that part only, I know what they want. A doormat that looks down and never says no. You don't want that and that's not what submission is.
@sppss6177 ай бұрын
@@whatever1068 How do you know what I want in a wife? I certainly don’t need a doormat. It’s that women rebelling against their husbands have been on full throttle since the 1960’s with the 2nd wave feminism and the sexual revolution. I don’t want a wife who competes with me nor one who isn’t united with me. So long as the husband doesn’t tell her to Sin against God, she should submit graciously and humbly. Perhaps you’ve been taught to distrust men.
@sppss6177 ай бұрын
@@juanis8219 What about what I said is overbearing and prideful? Regarding the verses of a husband, I do know them well, it’s that the video isn’t about traits to look for in a husband but in a wife. You asked good questions regarding my preparedness in marriage. I think I’m ready for marriage. Yes, I do desire to lay down my life for my future wife if need be. No, I am not spotless…are you? Is anyone spotless? The text there signifies that the husband’s duty is to wash her with the word of God, by preparing her to meet her Savior King Jesus Christ after she leaves this world and is reunited to her Creator. I think you and the others are anti-husband having authority over his wife-and have a deep distrust of men. Am I right in saying that? Feminism sure teaches that men are not to be trusted and that we’re villains/ monsters. Is your dad a monster villain?… yet your mom married him and brought you into the world. How about your grandpa? My point is is that feminism has destroyed marriage in the West. This is one of many reasons as to why many men in America are becoming passport bros. And no, it’s not because they want a doormat wife…it’s because they want a normal marriage where they lead and the wife follows his leadership.
