I found Space Sense to be annoying as hell. That having been said this clip is a year old, now I found that switching the type of Gaurdian play area to "stationary" disabled the Space Sense.

Hand tracking is disabled when you play a game that doesn't support it so just leave it on. It's useful for navigating menus. It's not really using more batteries as it's either tracking your hands or the controllers, those cameras are always looking for things.

Not only that, but hand tracking becomes more and more laggy the further you get from the center view. Even in center view it does a mediocre job at keeping up with hand/finger movements. They need to spend more time on this one.

I'm guessing the battery-life-saving part of it is waiting for the controllers to be in a certain position for a certain amount of time before switching to hands? not sure tho

Space sense has worked great for me; it's especially useful because I have a younger brother who likes to sprint through my play area while I'm in vr. Knowing exactly where he is so I don't accidentally smack him is really nice

If space sense is intruding on your games, your guardian isn't set up right. I find that feature very useful, especially with pets. It never comes up until something actually gets in front of me, like it's supposed to.

its usefull, but if your space is big enough for u, but space sence still senses a couch or something around you, but it would be useful otherwise.

I like the guardian and the passthrough. I have a friend who has a pitbull who is playful, so when i feel something, i can see him quickly. I also like how it alerts if something is infront of you. Its neat.

I find it hard to believe he would make a video about turning off settings, without advising how that is accomplished. Kind of odd to make a video that supposedly helps new users and then when it comes time to reveal some helpfull information he may as well just said "never mind".

Half of these probably save seconds of battery life... It's really not worth disabling hand tracking for that.... Hand tracking is only "using battery life" when the controllers are off.

How do you disable that people suggestion thing? I have tried clicking the x but, the list never ends. I do NOT like that.... meta deciding who will be my friend.... Another thing that annoys me is passthrough because sometimes i might be playing an intense game and need to adjust my headset and it will just turn on, its very annoying and to turn it off you have to double tap the side and sometimes it doesn’t even turn off i will have to continuously double tap for it to go away
