Here are some quick tips on dungeon healing to use while leveling. These are primarily focused on Priest healing but the same concepts apply to Druids, Shamans, and Paladins as well.

Nice guide man ! I learned something and my priest is lvl 34. Just one reminder to everyone, remember that all suggestions in these types of guides are ment as a rule of tumb. There are always exceptions to the rule.

A more important point about PW shield is that it is a priest's most mana-inefficient healing spell. That's really why you shouldn't be using it except in emergency situations.

Good tips, For hardcore dungeons its ok to overheal if it doesn't kill your mana, renew isnt mana efficient but it is fairly healing efficient, i also like to shield renew people, because you can basically forget about them and move to the next target. Also, its perfectly fine to shield a pally tank as his melee damage is pretty insignificant for threat as they do spell damage. Cheers

Just wanting to correct something. You said that renew is a very mana inefficient heal. This is only true if you have very little bonus healing. It actually becomes extremely efficient with lots of bonus healing. So for instance for Max Rank Greater Healing & Renew at 0 bonus healing. Greater Heal is ~2109 Healing for 557 mana (with talent) = 3.78HPM (Health per Mana) While Renew Rank 9 is 1025 for 328 mana (with talents) = 3.125HPM. But Renew is the ONLY Priest spell that has a bonus healing coefficient of 1 while greater heal is 0.8571 coefficient. So currently in Pre-Raid BiS gear I am at 596 Bonus Healing. So not even looking at downranking that means my max rank heals Greater Heal is then 2619 for 557 mana = 4.7HPM while renew is 1621 for 328 mana = 4.94HPM. So as you can see, when you start stacking +Healing gear in dungeons your Renew will become your most efficient spell

Also as a follow-up Renew is still the most mana efficient spell when downranking to max. A rank 3 Renew & rank 2 Heal (lowest levels learned at level 20+ so no coefficient penalty) with the same bonus of 596 applied. Heal Rank 2 1106 healing for 174 mana = 6.36 HPM vs Renew rank 3: 816 Healing for 94 mana = 8.68 HPM

Pretty close to exactly what i was looking for, i down rank, but im not sure which healing spell to use theres so many, i just compare the cast time to heal size to mana cost. either way im not failing, i havent lost a group yet!
