HELLO FROM MARIA, I LOVED YOUR SMALL PAINTINGS, AND I THINK IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO USE COLOURED PENCILS ON CANVAS, I WILL TRY IT OUT TOO. IT GIVES IT A GOOD EFFECT AND EASIER TO USE ON SMALL AREAS RATHER THAN BRUSH. HAVE A NICE DAY, LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT VIDEO. BYE.

I saw the dots on the thumbnail, but I’ll always watch you video’s, so for me it didn’t matter. Curious about the other thumbnails though :p

Are you not using a fast drying oil medium? I would go for gamsol galkyd lite. It will be touch dry in 24 hrs and it's also not as toxic as using liquin, which is a very popular choice. I'm a huge fan of the gambin brand of oil mediums, as they have removed a lot of the really horrible chemicals from their products, which is good for us (and our pets who are sleeping near by us as we paint). I'm terrible at tiny details with oils and acrylics. It's something I want to improve at and hopefully one day I can do the details, that I can do with sharpen pencils, but with paint. I think for me it's a combo of patience, the right paint viscosity and good brushes.
