I just bought a set of gouache paints and am excited to try them out because I have never worked with gouache..I've mostly worked with acrylic paint,but I've heard some people say good things about gouache so I thought I'd try it out..these ideas were really simple and they turned out so well and it gave me good inspiration on what to paint..because I've never painted with gouache before I wanted to start with something simple to get used to working with this medium..I really like your channel and I subscribed 😊

I realize this is a two year old video but you mention that it was your two year anniversary, and that sometimes you don't always feel motivated. In another video you implied you have ADHD? You SHOULD be super proud of what you've done. Whether or not you have ADHD, yes, but having it makes accomplishing anything on this scale so impressive. I know firsthand how hard it is. I only found your videos a few days ago and I love your style. My little cat also likes to watch you painting!

I enjoy your channel and I have been using gouache. I was wondering if you could talk about how you use your flower palette. Do you just squirt colors out and reactivate when needed? There must be layers of. colors underneath,right?

Lewis I used a weekly medicine separator and squirted all my gouache in it and I spray the gouache at least once a week it keeps it moist and it keeps me from having to squirt it out of the tube every time I need it... and if you leave a little water on your gouache before you use it, it rewets beautifully

Thank you!! ☺️ I honestly don't think about it too much. Gouache rewets pretty easily, i'll just put a little bit of water on the colors that I'm gonna use and then after a minute or two it starts to become a creamy consistency. I found that it's easiest to use a big brush to do that :) The colors underneath blend in with the colors on top because they get reactivated as well. I just tend to put similar colors on top of each other :)

What's the paper GSM and also what tape can we use to cover the edges? Will normal scotch tape work?

How did you manage to put white road over violet mountains? I always have a problem that white color do not stay white when I put it above darker color - white would mix with the underlayed violet. Help me with advice please!

Here's a few tips: • Make sure the first layer is completely dry • Don't use too much paint for the first color • Use a thick consistency and a lot of paint for the lighter color • Do multiple layers and let them completely dry in between ... if those don't work, try a different brand of gouache and consider using acrylic gouache. It's not water soluble so you won't have that problem :)

that DISH makes me vomit....yuk cannot watch. AND yes, the best quality gouache is Winsor., I've tried lots of other brands, everything is student grade, except Windsor. Winsor Newton is expensive, BUT you get what you pay for. If you don't want frustration and you want success DON"T waste your money, buy Winsor and invest the money bit by bit.
