Thank you for clearing up the fact that vermiculite could be used as a medium, i had checked multiple videos and seen nothing about it on the other youtube videos. I was just checking to see if i could use it for a hempy bucket and your video cleared that up for me. ty appreciate it!

Brother, I have watched thousands of videos related to plants and its care, but I need to admit your channel is the best, the way you explain the related topics is really remarkable and highly appreciated... However, just a finding I have noticed that you have very less videos on outdoor potted plant care, pruning, fertilising etc like bougenvilla, roses, hibiscus, jasmine to name a few. It would be really great and thankful if you could keep this request in your agenda. Or to the least if you could highlight to the difference in the care, pruning, fertilising to outdoor as well when you make such amazing videos...

Thank you! I am so grateful for all of your videos. Do you have one about sanitizing soil? I have been soaking my new soil and perlite in boiling water to prevent pests. Is this helpful? Thank you and have a wonderful weekend! ❤

Searching your videos to find one about the Rubber Plant. Can't find any! Can you please do a video on caring for a Rubber Plant (or lead me to the one you have done already...that I can't seem to find) Miy plant has started growing tiny leaves and other than repotting it I have no idea what it could be. Would rather not stress the plant by repotting it again...(repotted 6 months ago and now the roots are fine, not pot bound at all). Even though it's still growing I would rather have the nice large or medium leaves back. It gets light and a proper amount of water. I use bottled water because my tap water is very hard and salt was forming on the bottom of some pots. Is bottled water okay to use on house plants? I'll stop now because I could go on forever asking about what plants need. 😁😁😁

So interesting. I just bought my first bag this spring. I had just seen that it aids drainage so I've added to everything I've repotted. I even added it to cactus soil for new succulents I bought. Was this a wrong move?

Loves all your videos. I learned a lot from you. Thank you.💕 Can you do a video about pests plants infestation, Fungus Gnats ( drives me crazy) spider mites, etc? And I would appreciate it if you could do a video to grow a plant without soil? Soil seems to attract bugs infestation. I know about Leca but Leca doesn't help with fine roots. Any advice, please? Thank you 🙏🏻 Mr Swedish!

I topped of my germination trey with vermiculite…over the soil… I used the larger vermiculite because that’s all I had… I’m concerned my pepper seedlings won’t be able to push through the larger pieces??? Any thoughts??? Love that video.

I wouldn't think they'd have a problem pushing through the vermiculite. Even larger pieces are relatively light. Just my 2 cents

I appreciate your clear explanation of how vermiculite works. Wish I had known this when I had some cuttings of the most stunning roses that I grew in sand. They all perished when I removed them, I damaged their roots. What a complete idiot, ignorance is a terrible thing. 🙄

Joking aside - THANK YOU & YOUR TEAM for your hard work and great content.

i have a question here. If I bottom water via the drainage holes, will the vermiculite on the top of the pot gets the water? (aka, does the vermiculite able to suck up the water from below the pot?)

I'M A NEW SUBSCRIBER AND I NEED YOUR HELP. I have a juniper bonsai I mixed 1/3 vermiculite 1/3 perlite and 1/3 soil that is kind of gritty with wood chips in it. I don't know if this is okay, if this is going to work or not. Is it possible that this is okay for my plant and how do I know when and how often to water it because it feels different than just regular dirt. PLEASE HELP ME AND THANK YOU

Same as if you would add to standard potting soil, 10-20%, based on their videos on pumice. Check them out- very informative.

pumice, perlite and vermiculite are all amendments to help with aeration. Pumice is almost like perlite but it's heavier and it doesn't float like perlite, both doesn't hold water like vermiculite does. That's why sometimes I love airplants cause I don't have to worry about soil

It seems counterintuitive...in one aspect it absorbs tons of water and retains water and is great for plants that like a lot of water yet it's great for drainage????If it was a shirt made of vermiculite it would hold a lot of water, but wearing it will keep me drier by retaining a lot of water because it drains water away?I get it, but I don't get it.

I'm from tropical climate Malaysia. Basically I use vermiculite + epsom salts after transition from water to soil medium for vege seedlings. For indoor houseplants I prefer using perlite instead. It helps alot to retain moisture during hot monsoon season. But when it comes to rainy season, I never use any except for seeding process. Radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes seem loving it! Here, most selling vermiculite is a bit brownish, lightweighted texture compared to yours - maybe because of regional thing.

dont like vermiculite because it holds to much water, and you can't reuse it as it turns to powder later.
