The Zoonamaly game had some things that I liked, like the invisible stuff that you can only see with the screen. I'm really curious about those invisible trees. I also have been wanting more zoo horror games for over a decade, so I'm glad to see someone is working on it. However, when you died and it spawned you in a "Safe Zone" with three enemies waiting to kill you the moment you moved, I thought, "Oh, no... This isn't a good sign..." I'm also not thrilled that more mistakes means picking up more light bulbs, which leads to not being able to see, which leads to more mistakes. Then if you finally figure out where you're going, but you ran out of light bulbs, you have to drop back down and start all over again.

Methinks Zoonomaly is a wee undercooked. Hopefully they look at this and make changes. The puzzles could've been really engaging and fun, given how unique the mechanic was but if shit isn't done right it just leads to frustration. Enemy AI also really needs to be tweaked. I saw the enemy designs on instagram and it looked neat so I see why people were interested but unfortunately kinda..uhh...yeah.

"Intruder" was hilarious. That scheme just seems like a strange amount of work for something that could so easily fail, especially with how forced they had to be about "ahaha the scary ghost in the house look out". Feels like there are easier ways to do that.

Shotgun range is more than sufficient for anywhere in that building. The spread doesn't really spread much IRL. so under 100meters and if you're good at it you're hitting shit. so at 20-40meters in that building. easy

1:02:20 ISO 8601 superiority! neither US or UK date formats are great, ISO 8601 format not only clarifies to remove any confusion but since it's ordered most to least significant a simple text sort actually puts it in the right order.

The Zoonomaly game seems to have some balancing issues. The stun doesn't last nearly long enough to get away from threats, and I'm assuming that having each exhibit have its own respawn point is supposed to cut down on walk-back time to make the puzzles less frustrating, but that feature doesn't really work when the enemy AI is just glued to you as soon as you respawn in. And the jumps seem really small and unforgiving for a puzzle platformer. I'm sure it's fun for some people, but I can totally understand anyone giving up early on it, it just seems really tedious. However, the gun mechanics are cool, and the catapult puzzles seem like they could be fun. It just seems like it needs some big adjustments to make it feel less like a slog to get through.

Yeah the stun time is shorter than the reload time, so I couldn't even get to a point where I could hold them off. The only chance I had was to get to a place the enemy couldn't, or hope that they'd get stuck on something. If the catapulting mechanic was tightened up a bit then I think it'd be a really fun puzzle game.

@@MrKravin Yeah, it seems like it just needs some updates. Looks like it just came out in March, so hopefully they fix up some issues. Stun time being increased alone would be a huge QOL improvement.

You think fishing is boring? Try crabbing. When fishing, you can tell when you caught a fish, the bobber moves. And you can have a little fight which is kinda fun, I guess. There is no sign you caught a crab. Just throw the cage in and wait. Then all you do is wait and guess that there's a crab. Just pull the cage up, caught nothing, throw it back it. Now repeat multiple times until you're lucky

"Intruder" had way too much ambient sound going on which in combination with the footsteps made it annoying to listen to. I wish game devs understood that spooky scary sounds aren't always the answer, sometimes less is more.

FYI "Godot" is pronounced "ga-DOH" (it's a reference to a French play). I said it "Go-dot" for years though so... figured I'd let you know before you get 1578921 comments telling you you're saying it wrong (this being one of them)

Ok so there's a whole video on this. The pronounciation of Godot is largely cultural. The french pronunciation is Goh-doh. English V1 is GOD-oh but others afterwards (like myself formerly) said g-dough thinking that's the french way. The playwriter has said the proper English way is GOD-oh but the dev has said however you say it you say it. The play has been translated and shown in so many locations that there are many regional dialects.
