Being honest here, I had a bad experience when I was a kid, during a storm. I've been scared of both thunder and lighting ever since.

Huh? No. When my mom and I where living in the upper part of this two story house when I was much younger, we had a tornado warning out. My mom had this bright idea of making me sleep on the stairs that lead to the upper half where we lived. In a sleeping bag, with the lights on until 2 am. Nothing happened thankfully, but I will tell you, every time thunder rang out in the sky, it was would shake this door with a glass window panel in the middle; that separated the rest of the stairs going up and the bottom half that lead down to the back porch and outside. I honestly thought the glass would shatter and fall down all over me. The lighting made it worse because the lights in the stair well would flicker like crazy.

Where I lived in my home state wasn't really known for tornados. I get now looking back on it that my mom probably felt like that was the safest place for me. However, it left its impact. And even now as an adult I still get really nervous around thunderstorms. What doesn't help though is my family got transferred out to Tornado Alley back in 07. My husband was in the army and loves the area because of how quite it is. Deciding to stay after he got out. And as for me? I can't stand it. Even though I've been living here all this time. Needless to say March through May makes me extra jumpy and nervous.

My Husband and myself love sitting in our patio when there is a storm. Like the Man in the first story, thunder and lightning does not scare us. It is actually relaxing, and a bit exciting to see the lighting.

Story 3: Please correct me if I am wrong because I am just a tad confused. Just wanted to check that: A) the girl was getting her phone to message her friend to call the police cause she was scared somebody was outside & she didn't want to ring the police in case he heard her & B) why on earth would she go outside to check her fusebox after noticing that it was only her place that had the electricity cut? Didn't that just defeated the whole purpose of her wanting to get help? She might as well went out for a stroll and visited her neighbours. STICK WITH THE PLAN, LIGHTS GO OUT, GO GET YOUR FONE AND CALL FOR HELP, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE SCARED, WHILE WAITING IN A SAFE PART OF YOUR HOUSE!!!

Thank you for posting, I had probly the worst day yesterday. This person in my art class wrote a cuss word on something I have been working on for going on abt 3 weeks, and they have been bullying me for abt 2 weeks as well. The thing they're bullying me over is because I'm still friends with someone that I've been friends with for 6 years and their best friend is mad at mine so they're bullying me over still being friends with her. Then the thing they wrote had me sobbing at school for the first time ever. So thank you for posting it really helps more than you know. Love ya

The thing across the river. When i was young around 8-9 we had a camp in the middle of nowhere and for my alaskan native herritage we had these creatures called eikcingcuks English the chainging man, so across the river all we can see is a face that looked like a wolverine but as we tried to scare it away with our little bb guns it still wasnt trying to go as we tried and tried and as it felt it was dodging our bullets it, it stood up on two legs it shivered me to my core to where i couldnt walk or run away i stood there silently watching it creep a smile i screamed as my uncle grabbed me an we went back to camp where all we could do is watch and pray as it screamed a ugly ear hurting scream

Story 2 made me laugh at the start since I am a Florida resident. The comment of about not liking storms followed by the person traveling to Florida during hurricane season made me think, mistake number 1. Mistakes 2 and 3 were the arriving while a hurricane was coming and staying on the beach. The entire them I'm thinking, "Oh, this is gonna be great."
