5 Reasons an Amillennialist Should Preach on Eschatology (Part 1)

Why preach a series on eschatology? First, because Dispensational Premillennialism commandeers many of the promises that belong to the church. Secondly, the church’s urgency is dulled by this eschatology. Thirdly, that system commandeers one of our basic Biblical interpretation methods. Fourthly, the church’s missionary hope is commandeered. Lastly, that system takes from the glory of Christ and the church and goes back to the shadows again.

I love this eschatology series!!! I, too, detest pre-mil, pre-trib, dispensational view. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes 20 years ago so that I saw the truth of Amillennialism in Scripture. Praise the Lord!!

It wasn’t til I began really studying the scriptures that I became an amillenial…it’s the only position that makes sense in the totality of scripture and specifically the doctrine of Christ himself.

Similar view on MacArthur. Very pivotal in my Bible study, but totally disagree on his end times. Bible and the gospel teaches Amillenialliasm

You usually find what is truth about God's Word when you see what subjects get attacked the most. I see huge attacks on people who choose to side with the OBVIOUS dispensations in the Bible (which is how God deals with mankind over a period of time). There is OBVIOUS scripture (unless you rip out pages of the Bible or re-write it) that point towards a literal 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth. I do not see how anyone can say; "I detest" any view point that believers in Christ have. But I do believe this man can have his opinion on Holy writ. I do not see what he sees whatsoever; but I do not say I detest his view or others who share his views. Like at said at the beginning of this comment; the truth is usually attacked the most. I never see anyone attack his viewpoint, or post-trib or pre-wrath viewpoints. Only premillennialism seems to be attacked. I find that very interesting. I find it interesting because premillennialism gives the church of the Lord Jesus Christ - hope. And satan doesn't want mankind to have hope. *Titus **2:13* Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

John would say: we don't have all the promises of Israel, and that's good, because some of Israel's promises are negative. The Tribulation is called Jacob's trouble. The whole thing is designed to put his original wayward son, (Joshua) in order to bring him back to the family. There is a stupor over Israel preventing them from believing, usually.

I don’t know that I have ever taken time to comment on a KZbin video, though here I felt it necessary. I was excited to hear your message but was really taken aback and had to turn it off after the 5th or 6th time your message was Māori about raising your pulpit above the misistry of John MacArthur. I too refute premillennialism dispensationalism although I have the highest regard for John Max and his preaching and books have more influence on my Christian life than any other. You claim to have reverence for him but you continually tried to bring him down. Why could you not just preach eschatology. I am familiar with his views and you certainly put many words in his mouth and made claims that were certainly not in line with his teaching. Why not just preach the word instead of tearing down someone you claimed has so much influence in your life? Therefore, ridding yourselves of falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE OF YOU WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, because we are parts of one another.… Let no fnunwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification fnaccording to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by tearing down what He is building. Brother John MacArthur preaching old Covenant, he has not understood New Covenant yet. Lord has revealed his truth to babies . Since an Amillennialist has it wrong on the Kingdom issue, for sure his end times viewpoint is erroneous as well. I have stopped listening to Preterists, Amillennialists, and Postmillennialists.

Well what point in this sermon are you saying is erroneous and he requires more study on? As Tim emphasis it is all about getting our method of interpreting the Bible from the writers of Scriptures themselves.

Well that’s a dishonest response… I was saved and steeped in Premil dispensationalism and later became Amill through study .
