Confirm, seat is hard and was the first thing I modified - if I don’t feel comfortable I won’t ride it. I took it to a motorbike seat upholsterer. Confirm, gearing is hard to get smooth on this bike but is definitely possible. I have no slipping or false neutrals with mine. 2020. I have never had a problem with the mirrors. No vibration and they certainly don’t move. Hmmm. I don’t use the app as I never saw the purpose. Confirm, you do get a lot of wind on you. However this why I bought the bike, I want to be in the wind. When purchasing this bike definitely get a quiet helmet. Great video, I thought I should comment in the hope of helping others.

Definitely misses on shifting into 2nd, not often but it happens. I found in the 10 months of owning mine it took a lot of after market add ons & an ecu flash n tune on the dyno to really wake her up. I actually ordered a full exhaust why I was at the dealership signing paperwork because I hated the sound that much but loved the look 😂

The look of this bike is amazing! I'm a little sad I sold it but on to bigger and better things! :) I wish it had a quick shifter for sure, I think that would have helped and YES a full exhaust on these bikes make it SCREAM!

Rhino Moto Bar end adapters and CRG arrow mirrors. So easy to install and look and work great. CRG mirrors are not cheap at $119 each though. Ive got a 2020 z900 ABS. Seat is a rock and have been looking to get it re-padded and upholstered though. Bought the Toce Performance full exhaust and had the ecu flashed. Toce makes the best sounding full exhaust out there for the Z900. Bike is a ripper. TST rear fender delete and rear tail light made the ass end look much better also.

I've fitted the Kawasaki larger screen, it doesn't change the appearance and offers a little more wind protection. Puig offer some touring screens, but they look hideous. Can't really complain as it's a naked bike. There's an Australian chap on KZbin who fitted a full akrapovic system, not cheap but sounds great. I do agree on a couple of points though, the pillion seat is an afterthought and the rider seat could be softer. I've not experienced the 2nd gear thing on mine.

Yea I saw the larger windscreens and blah awful lol! I liked the Leo Vince but I didn’t want to spend the extra on the akra but it does sound amazing!!
@PDM-952 жыл бұрын
In all honesty, how bad does the wind pummel you if you're doing 80ish mph? Whatever bike I get, I will be doing about 25 miles each way to work and home on the highway. Was going to do the Ninja 650, but this one has caught my eye. You think upgrading from a cbr250r, which I hadn't ridden since I left Korea at the end of 2014 would be an okay jump in power? I rode that 250 in Korea for about three years and was my first and only bike.
@UrbanMoto2 жыл бұрын
Really the wind isn't too bad. I would definitely recommend a windscreen of some kind if you're doing long highway commutes. The 900 is a snappy fast bike especially over a 250 but if you're responsible you should have no problems. It's a very compliant bike!
@PDM-952 жыл бұрын
@@UrbanMoto I'm going to go sit on one today. But sitting on it obviously isn't the same as actually riding it. Hopefully being responsible is good enough to grow into. Just don't want to end up buying and having to sell in a year or two because I wasn't satisfied with the 650. You think a windscreen even for that daily 50 mile roundtrip commute? Or just if doing longer commutes? Thanks!

I had a 2019 Z900 for a few months and I agree with your comments on the shifting - I had a hard time getting smooth shifts out of it consistently. Shifting required more attention than other bikes I've ridden - it usually ended up being a little jerky, and it did fall out of gear or hit a false neutral here and there, which wasn't real confidence inspiring. The sound was also a little bland like you said, until you really got on it in the upper RPMs. Those things aside, it was a great bike for covering a lot of ground quickly but it ended up being a bit MORE bike than I would ever need or want, and less fun than riding lower powered bikes. I guess I'd rather ride a slow bike fast!

Just got a 2023 and the seat is still a piece of crap. It is slightly rounded like an equestrian saddle in the front and scooting back just loads your arms. Even if you are willing to bruise your taint, the knee angle for taller riders is miserable. One Kawasaki Ergo Comfort Saddle on the way. So far that's my only complaint.
