I second this. I am a new pilot and recently did a pretty good edit (far better than my first one which is here on KZbin). When I went to upload it, KZbin killed the frame rate. Uploaded it to Facebook though and it’s golden. I’m quite proud of it and would love to have it up on here. Hey Nurk, nice video, lots of great tips, but one important note though: You called your filters "polarizers" a couple of times... Those aren't polarizers! They're neutral density or short ND-filters. They're used for exactly what you described, to stop down light when using fixed settings when otherwise your image would get overexposed. Polarizers (polarisation filters) on the other hand are used to block light that is polarized in a certain direction, thus enabling you to reduced or completely block reflections, e.g. on the surface of a lake so that you can see through the water instead of seeing the reflection of the sky. So, don't call ND-filters polarizers or people might accidentally buy the wrong stuff. Apart from that, great work, mate! Happy flying! :)

I hope not :p After having fouuund my first FPV video and then sat for 10h straight I saw that video, after it I looked up where to get stuff to get started. Went to the car, drove 5h one way, got stuff for $2.5k drove home, slept. Started FPV. Now own a dedikated FPV store with a physical location that has a year on it and that teaches people to become self sufficient as FPV pilots for free. Parts we live off. I had been looking for a hobby I could do because I wanted to after a motorcycle accident and had after 12 ears almost accepted that i'd never do anything because I truly liked it again, just stuff I did because I couldnt do what I really wanted. A souul killing state to remain in for years. With FPV and the community I found within everything changed, I went in hard core. I was in a wheelchair for 7 years and had a damn tough time accepting not the handicapp, as everyone thought, but that whatever I did from there on wold either be choices far from my first, or with no real way of measuring my accomplishments against anyones - not without taking "into account" (I hated that so much) until fpv. Action, flying, racing, dancing... A reason to be outside, sit and watch a sunset on a hill or go full adrernaline close to crashing until you do, like any hard session on a factory kitted Supermoto - minus the bruises and now and then broken bones. That clip better be real, and that train driver better waz pissed. :p (I have no doubt b the way ;) )

Thanks Nurk. Not everyone is willing to take the time for this. I personally go through my buddies music library and try to match my DVR clips tempo from the day. Other than a little video color correction after the flight, I don't do much. I haven't speed-up anything and leave my counter running because I've read hater mail in comments on the racers practice gate vids. I don't feel that concern after watching this. I've been flying for 8 years, just started acro and FPV last December. I don't know why we allow ourselves to be subject to others personal opinion but we do sometimes and this is what some of us need to watch and listen to. 😉👍🎮

It’s obvious everyone that speed is an important tool for dramatic effects but using it to make both stories(music with footage) line up together is truly brilliant. Thanks for sharing all your tips helping everyone express their flying at a higher level.
@charlietait15 жыл бұрын
The difference between "crispy/janky and smooth/juicy" is motion blur. If the shutter is open for less time (higher shutter speed), there'll be less motion blur. This can look strobey or stuttery. Your method allows for the shutter to be open for longer, making the image smear - motion blur - and the filter stops the image from becoming over exposed. So you can try changing the shutter speed a bit to change the motion blur length, and changing filters to get the exposure right at a given shutter speed.
