I really enjoy the iPad because ever since I stopped replacing my carbon monoxide alarm batteries, I kept forgetting where I was and what game I was playing. The iPad solves these issues and really grounds me.

Something you forgot to mention is both games support the Wii nunchuck. I like to tape the motion controller to my forehead and lean into the corners to steer. Helps with accuracy and the joy stick as throttle and brake and the two buttons as gear up and down.

So, realizing the day this video was posted on... I can say it's decent despite its glitches, and bugs it has. I am a huge NASCAR fan. And this video honestly, it explains it all. Now, I don't like Ignition but, I can honestly say with your video out there it's really informative. All of your videos are informative mainly to iRacing. Unrelated, I watched one April fool's video by this point, no surprises, and regrettably made it to the extensive discussion of Turn 16 at COTA before realizing what exactly I was watching. Great Video! The keyboard topic was believable for me from my many years of playing NASCAR Racing 4 on keyboard. I was a kid at the time and my parents only bought the game, so it was keyboard or nothing.

Love your videos. I'm trying to see if any other sims are superior before I get into iracing, and since Nascar is a big element I want to get into, I wanted to see how it compares to Nascar Heat/Ignition. I just wanted to go over the things you've mentioned. 5. Nascar Ignition is cheaper -Has no effect on gameplay 4. Racing against big names -Same as 5 3. Keyboard support -Lol, people usually get made fun of if they're using a controller, but a keyboard? Can't even fathom... 2. Circuit of the americas turn 16 -One corner is better detailed? How one corner on a road circuit has enough weight to make it on any list, let alone a Nascar list, is so impossible to wrap my head around that I'm not even going to try. 1. Ipad -Sounds like a minor convenience, not to mention something I never would have even considered. So yeah, I don't see any of these five points even remotely being a factor. The most important thing in a video game is gameplay. These don't seem like factors in which game is better, but just quality of life aspects that affect user experience. Such things are so low on my priority list that I rarely consider them. Anyway, big fan of your videos, but I think I can safely write off Nascar Ignition. What I want out of a racing sim is realism and competitive online multiplayer. If there isn't another game that does both better than iracing, then iracing is what I'll go for. Edit: April fools? Sorry, can't see the date, but I'm assuming that's what's going on. Well, if so, you totally got me. :D

I really like that Nascar 21 handicaps strong drivers by throwing them into the wall on starts. It's a really nice feature that I wish other games would have. In iRacing the guys that qualify in front of me just pull away. Nascar 21 really makes an effort to create close racing with random wall hits.

You forgot the biggest pro of Nascar Ignition. It's on console. Sometimes I just want to put my feet up and play on my Xbox, or on the go with my Switch. Can't do that in iRacing.

i play all the nascar games on PSN and they are cheaper for sure i have over 16 different racing games on PSN and prolly over 15 for pc including ACC ifactor NFS ect. ive found that iracing itself is getting worse for the racecraft and netcode witch is not found any where near as much on console or non live games i do play on PSN a bit still but PC gaming is a bit less expencive for most games other then iracing its the most expencive and sometimes most frustrating at times i compare iracing people to call of duty players these days its getting really toxic and in all splits i ve watched a few high splits recently and it a shouting match at best lol , love your vids brother ill see you on the track ...

Sim racing keyboards, while optimal, are not necessary for high level driving. My Corsair with the red lights does a great job and it makes me feel fast for a price tag less than many high end sim racing keyboards

Working in NASCAR and being a NASCAR fan my whole life iracing is the best money I’ve ever spent never looked back and I wouldn’t give you 2 cents for there game! From what I can do to a real xfinity car and what I can do in the garage area on iracing with setups ignition is a joke! I think personally the last great racing games for consoles or specifically on PC was NASCAR EA sports sim racing! NASCAR racing 2003 was awesome before iracing came out

The only reason you need to change Iracing is the Iracing is for Pro race drives and not for normal people like you and me. Max Verstappen plays Iracing and you is only stil watching you best lap after running in time attack for 2 hours being +11s more slower.
