I`ve been meaning to become an online seller since 2018, firstly because I`m genuinely interested in that kind of job and am really curious about it, secondly because it would enable me to quit my job and move away from the place I´m currently living in and where life is becoming increasingly unbearable for me. Also, I`m quite introverted, so having the kind of job where I could work from home, would have no boss and no colleagues would be right up my alley.... And yet, I still haven`t started. Partially because I`m a gigantic procrastinator, partially because I really am afraid to fail and partially because I`ve been suffering from paralysis analysis. I don`t want to sell just any product(s), I want it to be something I am genuinely interested in and passionate about. But it`s so damn hard to narrow the focus down on the one product or a certain theme. I`m really treading water right now but I know I have to make up my mind in the very near future before I fall back into complete passivity again.

Despite that, I just go do it, still scared, but being brave doesn't mean you'll no longer be afraid, but rather take action and as you go you gather strength and become less afraid. Great content Tatiana, as always. You are a very good coach with clear, structured points. 👍🏼 I would add that there is nothing wrong with “failing”, so long as you use those failures as learning points and build upon them. Failure is only bad if you learn nothing or give up. The most success business people see failure as useful data on how not to do things, then correct your course.

I love Tatiana! I follow you and follow your advice- so grateful for you! But I have to say something here to counter a point you've made. As a mom with young kids, who used to live paycheck to paycheck, I grow exhausted of the entrepreneurial voices in the USA telling folks that things like kids' after school activities (and being a single mom/ caring for a medically fragile child or an elderly parent/have children who need food in their mouths NOW, thus unable to refuse those extra hours of overtime/ the list goes on......) are excuses and not important enough to put your FBA plans on hold. Life has ups and downs, even for White, middle class folks with an education. Even more to work against as someone living at the poverty level or single parenting, etc. I have yet to find a book that tells people who don't have the opportunities that life without kids brings, or being a male with a wife who handles the kids, or coming from a space of not needing to work 2 or 3 jobs to pay the mortgage: " You're going to need to hustle, BUT if for any reason your plan stalls out, COME BACK TO IT. Keep your chin up, keep focused- when you're not progressing, it does not mean all is lost." Truth is, I know plenty of moms doing this work and no, they are not able to commit their all to it, nor do I WANT to. I have bought the courses, watched the videos, and when life wallops you in the head with responsibilities- you take a breath. You need to let your nervous system recover sometimes. You need to mourn sometimes. Your kids need to be a priority most of the time. You need to wait until your kid is in school next year, or until you're not tending to a partner with cancer or a loved one lost....those are not excuses, those are real life responsibilities and obligations to other humans that we love. I'd love to see more focus on that aspect of business, as most business advice is based in the world of White men- we adapt that advice as businesswomen, but I wonder, is it serving us?

100%, fear of failure is very real. I get lost in product research, finding a first product to source and bring into FBA and that is more difficult than I expected. There's a feeling of 'wow I'm going to send $10k to a supplier in China, then pay all the costs of shipping, landing, storage, PPC, selling fees, etc etc, not knowing if I can actually sell anything.
@manocoulin18453 жыл бұрын
Well you definitely touched it on all of the reasons. Fear. That's my biggest thing right now. I am 99% ready to do this. But that 1% is what's bothering me. It's ridiculous how such a small percent can affect someone like that. However, I am working on it and I have no doubt that I will get past it and start this business. Already started researching products. Overwhelming that's for sure. Feel like I've already hit analysis paralysis and I've been at this for a week hah. Thanks for everything you do.
