no, to you (if you are in US and shipping to Amazon in US). Especially given you are starting out. you want to make sure the units are in good quality and condition. Yes it cost slight more to then ship your units from your house to amazon but it's worth it starting out to have good quality products that will get you good ratings/reviews. Once you start to trust this supplier more you can have them/forwarder ship directly to amazon. How much starting unit depends on product type / price / competition so too many variables. But you don't want to run out of inventory ( The rank you worked hard to build goes down. ) and you need budget for advertising.

@@TPACasual But this can come with cons, sometimes the supplier will not issue a refund, as if you end up wanting to cancel or return the order, the supplier will have complications returning the units back to the address to issue a refund. Unless you negotiate with them, or file a dispute, but it's not likely. In this case you need to trust the supplier enough, ask to show full in depth pre-views of the product before they're sent, how well it's packaged will indicate how well the supplier will manage your shipments. And if any product is damaged from a customer, know it's amazon's fault and that you as the seller confirm the product was shipped and handled with care from the supplier.
