Of all the sport quads that existed and currently exist today, the Warrior will always be my #1 favorite. Rode the piss out of them back in high school. Would have no problem owning one again!

Nice video! I’ve been looking for one for a while as I’m a teenager looking to get into clutch bikes. I’ve ridden one xr80 and it was really fun

Thanks! That would be a perfect quad for you. Good luck.

Seeing this makes me want to buy one so bad! I see them anywhere from $500-$3000 on FB marketplace. I like to think I’m handy with a wrench so thinking about restoring one. Great video!

Nice quad. I am in the process of putting mine back together. Put a new top end. Bored it out to about a 400. Extended the a-arms 1 inch and 2 inch swingarm. Powder coated everything. It's coming out great. You said it best, " Redic. reliable. " so that's why I rebuilt mine down to the bolts. Great 👍 video. Safe ride and ride safe!!!

Had an 88 warrior fully rebuilt converted to a 366 cc and a bit more loved that thing but was sadly stolen 2021 now ripping a yfz450 it’s sick but I still find the 88 more reliable with the pull start in case the electric start takes a crap when your far in the trails that was a life saver in the deep woods unlike the yfz 450 and the warriors engine was literally bulletproof 450 it can take a beating that’s for sure

I had a 97 Warrior back in my 20’s…was $4600 out the door. Couple things I didn’t care for were seat to peg height was to short(for me) & turning radius…but overall was def a fun quad back then. We went to the state forest every weekend summer of 97 & 98. My friends had a Blaster & 300ex. Sold the Warrior in 2003 tho to a co-worker who actually still has it today.

Nice! Great memories. And to learn the out the door cost as well. Cool to know. Agreed on the turning radius. Thanks for sharing.

I have a current warrior 1998 I’m a bit young and have close to 0 mechanical skills so I don’t work on it much but it sure does last I been riding it about 2 years now first quad I have ever ridden with a clutch there built to last and surprisingly fast amazing for just about anything the one small problem I hate riding with 4 wheel drive quads it sucks in ruts cause of the ground clearance but other than that you can beat the living crap out of this qauds and it well not break just do your oil change and that’s about all I have done it’s quick it’s old and a beater but I taught around 6 people clutch for there first time on thsi qaud 100% recommend for a first time qaud

They are very easy to work on. I have a couple video clips of my warrior on my channel. The only way to learn is to try

My personal opinion the aftermarket support sucks I deal with parts that don’t fit all the time I only have luck with oem parts I don’t even bother with aftermarket any more

Just bought a non-running 2001 for about 550 at an auction. Overall probably a 5/10 condition. Electrical looks a mess and the carb was frozen (and disconnected). Hoping the bottom end and trans is still good. Gonna try and bring her back.

Old ones like my 87 has pull start. No battery needed! But 87/88 had bigger lower a arm mounts, mods needed to use new a arms

I want to get a 95 warrior but does the age of the warrior effect the performance cause 95 is pretty old but will It still be able to do what the modern ones do? Will it be reliable? Or will I have to take it easy on it?

Do i NEED to use the cluth when im shifting from 1+ ive only been using it to shift from first honestly
@FunGoingFast7 ай бұрын
I always use the clutch to be safe. I guess if you are perfectly timing the shift with revs it could be ok but thats not what I do.
@codyhendrick28557 ай бұрын
@@FunGoingFast alrighty, just didnt make much sense to me, as i understand it the handle is connected to both the clutch and the brake. Doesnt make sense to me to brake as i shift, it feels like it would make me stall(i shift at high rpms regardless) if i shift with a clutch. “Slow down to go faster?” Is what tuns through my head.

Hi, how many power horses ?
@FunGoingFastАй бұрын
Around 18 hp stock. They are fun to ride but there are much faster atvs. A 450 race quad has around 40-45 hp and a 400 ex or 400 LTZ has around 28 hp to give you a comparison.
