The gas station where you filled up used to do the state DMV inspections for $5. Jack Lord was on TV advertising the houses at the bottom of the hill. It looks like the whole mountain is covered.

Hey I have a different perspective on that. Should we run the numbers together sooner on a consult? Maybe I should make a video on waiting and saving vs not and show the math… idk your savings rate but trying to out save the market can be like trying to outrun a river. As a “mainlander” we just visited Oahu and reviewed properties in Makakilo as well as checked out Eva Beach. In Makakilo, there was a nice breeze, and it was the only time during our visit, that we could hear the birds singing. We LOVED Makakilo!! Close to shopping, and some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. Thanks Mahe for this video. I really appreciate the time you took to make it. Makakilo felt like home to us.

I always find it so crazy how Hawaii housing is. For so much you have to live on top of each other, no parking etc and for double that you get a real livable mansion. Sad reality.

We live in Makakilo and its VERY overpriced for what you get. Cord wood-style cheap builders-grade track houses. Usually only pee-a-boo ocean views if you are lucky. Ones with a good view should garner a 20K hike, but here they seem to make it 800K more. Not worth the price folks.
