Mahe represents Pearl City and Derek represents Aiea. In this video they get absurd and battle it out to help you decide which neighborhood is better.
Both of these neighborhoods are in central Oahu neighboring Pearl Harbor, Waipahu, Moanalua, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Aliamanu and Waikele.
Pearl City is home to Momilani Elementary school, Pearl City High School, plenty of plantation style single family homes and lots of places to eat and play.
Aiea is home to Pearlridge Shopping Center, Pali Momi Medical Center, Waimalu, Aiea High School, Royal Summit, Pearl Country Club and much much more.
The newly opened light rail system, Skyline, runs through both of these neighborhoods.
Home types that range from average condos to high-end luxury. Views from mountain ridges to Pearl Harbor. These neighborhoods are home to many local families that have been here for multiple generations.

Thank you for creating this one. It brings back awesome memories of growing up in Aiea back in the mid-80s. Pearl Ridge Mall, Holiday Mart, Dave's ice cream, Waimalu shopping center and Baldwin's !!! It's amazing that these places are still there some 35 years later. We used to stop by Baldwin's for their shaved ice after school was out at Waimalu Elementary. We would also stop by Dave's Ice cream before we had to climb that hill up to Newton (where we lived). As a kid I remembered planning to graduate from Aiea and play football for the Bows, but moved to WA after grade school. Thanks again, I appreciated this one.

When it comes to these debates, Derek is way out of his league. Mahe is just a heartless savage coming at him with chokes, ankle locks, armbars, ax kick, body slam, crucifix, elbows, flying knee, hammerfist, headlocks, leg kicks, on and on. The word is that Derek is barely walking with messed up legs, rearranged face and cauliflower ears.

Aside from being annoyed by popcorn, I do not get the trend of having full service menu served in a movie theater. My preferred local theater does not do that yet but can't people just go to a restaurant before or after? I like those views from Moanalua and Waimano Home Road. In my memory, I don't remember much from Pearl City, as at the time I thought Pearlridge was in Pearl City. I remember being confused as to where Pearl City ended and Aiea began, and then where Aiea ended and Honolulu began.

I bleed green. Lol but I live in Mililani. I was raised in Aiea , it’s central to all areas . Our playground was where Pearlridge SC is now , and Leeward Hospital was way before Pali Momi Hospital. Lol. Aiea Shopping was another stomping grounds

You two crack me up! I love these battle videos. To me, I always considered Pearl City/Aiea to be basically one in the same, since they are joined at the hip and there is no clear distinction where one starts & one ends, like most neighborhoods. It's a great place to live(both of them), because it's centrally located on the island. The food choices are great. Kabuki cone sushi is one of the best(not too bland, not too sweet, so ono!).
