5 reasons to play O12 in Infinity the game

If you're considering playing O12 but are still on the fence then check out these 5 reasons why you should give them a go! This was my first faction in Infinity and provided a great range of profiles to learn from.

I just assembled the O-12 Action Pack, I am hoping to get around to painting them next weekend. They look completely different to my JSA, but I only picked them up because I received the Raveneye Officer with the book. I was just sick of having models that I couldn't use. Interested in seeing how they play in the near future.

I started with Starmada bc I like the minis, guess I will know more about how they play after a few games, less minis is easier for me atbthis stage of learning the game so Starmada helps there too, I expect to get tabled a lot while learning though

You should still do well 😃. Hector, Epsilon and Nyoka combos are deadly at multiple range bands and a Bluecoat core could be fun.

I have been away from infinity for a while now and just recently found out my Tohaa got a slap. So time for something fresh and i have to say O12 sound perfect for me. Great video and definitely earned my subscription.

Yay! Thank you. Tohaa are still a very potent force, they've just had their wings clipped slightly. O12, on the other hand, take some effort to be as lethal.

I started with Nomads (Crimson Stone) and just split the Blackwind boxset with a friend. I haven't been able to lock in my 'play style' and have been thinking of O-12 due to their diversity... and the fact that they 'Space Police' ;-)

Who doesn’t love space police? (Space robbers probably). Yeah it took me a while to find my play style BUT there’s every play style imaginable in infinity. It might take a few attempts to find it 😃

Just started with O12. Mostly only played code-one with my other factions but I'm a very fast painter so needed something new! I'm working my O12 from the Wildfire box towards a Starmada force with lots of heavy infantry (betatroopers haris, a santiago knight, the lawkeeper cos I love the model, shona carono duo with a varangian, epsilon to make use of the smoke, a psi-cop, and a lambda engineer). Having previously played with ariadna the idea of having some tougher troops is very appealing, and although they don't seem to be the most popular sectorial, their access to the santiago knight immediately adds some appeal, as a spitfire specialist operative lieutenant sounds like it would be ace!! I'll probably play badly anyway, cos thats what I do, but I'm loving the aesthetics of the O12 range and am having loads of fun painting them!

I think if people tried Starmada again after the updates they’d find it a much better sectorial. The faction as a whole is great!

Regarding reason 3. I've gotten similar suggestions about Yu-Jing being a bit of everything so a good place to start. Would you agree? If so, how do they differ in play style?

Yes I’ve heard the same thing. For me Yu Jing are more lethal (less para ammo and more actual killing) and they have a bit more camo sneakiness.

You play both O-12 and PanO. Would you recommend O-12 to someone who already has a PanO force? Or are they too similar to one another?

I do know of a few people that have gone from Pan O to O12 but that’s a really tough question. Personally, I wanted simple gun fighting for a bit so MO was perfect. O12 has, for me, more need for synergy and strategy - which wasn’t what I was after at the time. So if you’re looking for a force less reliant on straight up gun fights then O12 may be a good move from Pan O. What a question though.

If it were not for PanO taking that special place in my heart as the first faction I started infinity with, O12 would be it. But it's PanO so maybe it is a mistake after all.

@@the_infinitygamer well just a polite warning, if your opponent is knowledgeable they will be quite the handful. The nearly free form fire team options can just crank things yogats right up. And the new Kiatoks aka +2burst chain rifle on a meaty HI body should not to be taken lightly. Between it and a rasyat I have shredded two opponents entire back field simply because they deployed too tightly. Also the kyosot msv1 smg can make itself a problem very quickly with its bs t2. I doubt you will see it as most people are kinda down on it given the plethora of other toys and kind of a middling stat line. But they are sleeping on a very nasty piece of work. The other thing to be aware of is we actually have hacking now and it is actually good if limited.

@@the_infinitygamer well if you are joining the angry monkeys look at picking up a raicho, the mine dispenser profile is a riot. The ammount of goofy havoc you can create is just joyous. Not quite as much fun as tossing explosive drop bears. But close.
