I had decided I wanted a new motorcycle after 40 years of not riding because I moved to the Smoky Mountains and rolling down the windows of the car wasn't cutting it. I took the national motorcycle riding course, and started looking for a bike. The bikes were much more advanced than mine back in the day. I heard about the 1100 rebel, so I started watching videos, and I decided to go look at one. I felt like the modes would help me a lot. I rode it home in rain mode, then after about 100 miles I switched to standard mode, then after about another 300 miles I went to sport mode. I think the modes would allow even a beginner to buy this bike and work their way up through the modes. This will help a person not have to go through three bikes before they get to the one they want with the experience they've gained. I love the technology. I very happy with my purchase.

5:46 dang. I went to my local Honda dealership for oil, I got a rebel 300, and they talked me into the rebel 1100. Price out the door was $13.5k! Including a trade in for the Rebel 300 ( I was not upside on it) absolutely insane, walked out so fast! 😂😅

I bought my Rebel 1100 for the same reasons as you. I bought the DCT model and I really love it. I'm a little older guy and have ridden bikes for a very long time. I am in the same boat he was. I have a ninja 400 and am moving to the rebel. The ninja is awesome and has it's place. But if you plan on routinely spending more than 45 minutes on it, the positioning of your back starts to wear on you. It's crazy nimble though and a ton of fun to wring out. It's gonna depend on what you are doing with the bike for the majority of your time

still waiting for the delivery of mine but i did my research and i choose the rebel for similar reasons 1. midcontrols and the seating position rather than forward controls or sport bike seating. 2. 1100 engine with that transmission is going to have plenty of get-up-an-go when i need it and a nice steady push when i'm relaxing. 3. 13k vs 18k harley or indian. 4.seat height (i'm 5'6). 5.the platform can easily be made into a naked street\bobber\bagger\cruiser.

Glad you like it. I just picked up my 1100 DCT on Wednesday. I was $11,700 out the door for mine, same color, only difference is DCT, so I don't think you got a bad deal. Other dealers in the area were well into the 12's out the door, thankfully the black one I wanted was the best deal. Cruise control is amazing. While riding is dangerous, this bike has great ABS and traction control too, and the different driving modes are fantastic to keep the power in check. Spot on with your reasons for purchase!

My KZbin channel is new, and I'm far from being an expert (yet 😉 )... and I think there hasn't been a single video I upload that I don't realize or think that I forgot or should've added something... I think twice, I actually deleted a video right after uploading it, and re-uploaded it after a quick edit 😂🤣😂🤣😂 By the way, I ride a Honda NC750x, DCT as well. Love this thing... I have a CBR600F2 right now. She’s about 32yrs old. Had it about 8yrs. I’m ready to move on to something more commuter friendly, and I’ve been HEAVILY contemplating the Rebel 1100. I think this video really drove it home for me. Sport bikes are fun and all, but I commute 130mi a day for work, time for a much needed change of pace.

Great video I bought the rebell 1100 as well dct model though,Ivan manually shift ,but decided that I wanted to try something different an I love ❤️ it ,the dct is 10 thousand but with alll the fees it will come up to 12 thousand an change an if u add the tire package 📦 it’s more ,so great bike for the money lots of power .

All the dealers in my city had no inventory and said they would take orders for 2023 spring delivery. I found a 2021 Rebel 1100 DCT with 1300 km on it and bought it. I tried to pay depreciated price (20% below list), but had to pay $1000 below list price.

The great thing about rebel 1100 is it is lighter than most of their competitors and it is very stable at high way. I am impressed. I had to sell my rebel 1100 dct since I dont like DCT but I would buy another rebel 1100 manual if I could find one.

@@Row2nd my problem with the dct is that now even though I like other bikes, I couldn't go back to a manual. It's like going from a manual car to an automatic. Yes, the manual is more engaging but for me riding a bike is engaging and exciting enough. And for city traffic, dct is gold. The manual paddles respond instantly even in automatic mode and the clutch operates smooth as butter. If you're gentle on the throttle it will move the bike idling, and you feel the clutch slowly engaging at your command. But if you hit it hard, you better grab those handles. I can't be bothered with a manual clutch again.

First class honest review I have the DCT being 5' 5" it is good to have a bike I do not struggle to get on, I also have a NC700 DCT and was starting to struggle getting on and off ( 62 with arthritis ) the Rebel does 100mph which is fast enough but strange as my 700 did 115 as standard non modified and will be sold as standard, the new owner can re-fit the parts if they want to.

Bro you got a very good deal. I was looking at the bobber and the Sporster S and I was told by numerous dealers i wouldn’t leave the stand with any of those 2 bikes for less than $20K. So I decided next year I will be hunting a Honda Rebel 1100 just like yours. $11.5K with cruise control, riding modes, piggy back shocks, showa forks etc….. it’s a very very amazing price. My wallet will not feel like it’s been massively raped.

I have a 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom 750cc and looking to upgrade. I'm really considering this 1100cc Honda rebel, and also the triumph Bonneville T120. I'm not sure what to do....

I personally love my Rebel 1100. I don’t have a ton of experience with the triumph Bonneville. If you are a taller person (6 feet or above) the rebel can feel a little small.

My only issue when I sat on it was the fixed seat. I already own a Triumph America and it has the same issue. I ended up going with the Sportster S and already have a seat on order. I am from Australia so the price between the two bikes is closer than in the US. The Sportster S is only 30% more expensive (rather than the 50% in the US). I wouldn't turn my nose up at the Rebel though, I was close to buying one.

I started riding in late 2020 (at 51 yrs old) I went with the Harley iron 883 as my first bike in October of 2020. A few months later, Honda releases this bike 😳😡. I would have absolutely, positively, bought the rebel 11oo if it was available when I started riding, and I would have gladly paid 12k for one. Now I’m on a ‘21 Low Rider S so no going back now, but I would still love to have this bike! Btw, I can’t imagine why anyone would buy that new Harley nightster bike when the rebel 11oo exists?

I totally had the same problem of not being able to find ANY used Honda Rebel 1100's or 500's....dealer fees are crazy, and with the price going up and up for used bikes (and craigslist scams/dishonest people), its seems like a better idea to buy it new or pre-owned at a shop.

Got 8,000 miles on my Rebel 1100cc DCT and love it. Traded in a Vulcan 650s for it. By the way, cool video.

@@slicktaylor2954 I had a Vulcan 650s and traded it in for the Rebel. Besides the ergonomics the Rebel is lot better. Lot more power, all LED lights, traction control DCT, cruise control. Programmable power and engine brake. Custom set up in a manual sport mode. A whole new world. The Vulcan is great bike also just on a different level. If they redesign it because it is outdated now, I probably will buy a new one.

I would do the Rebel 1100. It has more technology in the bike to help new riders move up and become more confident. It also has a decent amount of power so you won’t outgrow it as fast. Cruise control has made a world of difference to me while riding. That is a huge plus with the rebel. That’s just my 2 cents.

I own a goldwing dct and i love it! I would highly recommend the DCT more so that you live in Miami with all the hassles of traffic. Go for the DCT. No issues stalling the bike on stop and go situations and no sore left hand specially on traffic. Believ me you will thank yourself for buying the DCT. BTW, if you’re on the twisties, put it in manual mode and oh man, you will love it! Ride safe!

Comparing a ninja 400 to a sports bike isn't really even a comparison. My r6 doesn't start pulling hard til about 6-7k rpm.

Hearing these prices makes me wan't to move to america :D In Finland Honda Rebel 1100 is 14,990€ and Sportster 1250S is a bit over 23,000€ ...+ the fee's and atm the gas prices are here maybe second highest in europe at about 2,3-2,4€/litres (was at 2,6-2,7€/l just few weeks ago)

Hey Tizzle, "You can get hurt with a bike but you can also get hurt with a car." It shows your lack of experience, you can crash a car and many times you won't get hurt. But if you crash a bike I guarantee you ten out of ten times you will get hurt even if it's just a broken ankle. I've been riding since 78 since I was 11 years old, and controlled situations like dirt bikes using a lot of gear and you wipe out on soft earth are the only situations where you may fall off a bike and not get hurt but on pavement or stone, forget it.
