At that point that is all Adam knew, but he believed it. Abraham believed God according to the promises and new revelation God gave him in Genesis 12 and 15. Prior to Moses, no Scripture was written, but mankind was responsible for what God had revealed. Throughout the Old Testament, believers came to salvation because they believed that God would someday take care of their sin problem. Today, we look back, believing that He has already taken care of our sins on the cross (John 3:16; Hebrews 9:28). What about believers in Christ’s day, prior to the cross and resurrection? What did they believe? Did they understand the full picture of Christ dying on a cross for their sins? Late in His ministry, “Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life” (Matthew 16:21-22). What was the reaction of His disciples to this message? “Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. ‘Never, Lord!’ he said. ‘This shall never happen to you!’” Peter and the other disciples did not know the full truth, yet they were saved because they believed that God would take care of their sin problem. They didn’t exactly know how He would accomplish that, any more than Adam, Abraham, Moses, or David knew how, but they believed God. Today, we have more revelation than the people living before the resurrection of Christ; we know the full picture. “In the past God spoke to our forefathers at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe” (Hebrews 1:1-2). Our salvation is still based on the death of Christ, our faith is still the requirement for salvation, and the object of our faith is still God. The Old Testament sacrificial system is no longer needed since Christ paid the price of Sin for us permanently. Today, for us, the content of our faith is that Jesus Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose the third day for our salvation (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Other religions follow books of teachings written by one person. The Bible consists of 66 books written by 40 or more authors over the course of more than 1500 years (from 1500 BC to approx. 90 AD) in three different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek). The Bible is the only book in the world ever written like this. In spite of this, the message throughout the Bible is the same. It is the message of salvation through God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Christianity is not about joining a church or a religious organization. It is not about following religious rules and ceremonies and man-made rituals. It is not about religion. Christianity is about having a personal relationship with God Himself, made possible because of Jesus Christ and what happened at the cross.

Please consider this... respond if you have sensible opinion: May I ask, considering non Catholic Christians use the Bible which the Catholic church chose among around 25k manuscripts of the New Testament, it assumes much that non Catholic Christians implicitly believe in the Catholic Church's God given authority to declare what's true. If not, then why don't non Catholic Christians choose their own manuscripts to include in the Bible as divinely inspired. But that would mean infinite versions of the Bible because of the assumption of most non Catholic Christians that all Christians have the authority to declare truths. What's do you think? An honest question. The Bible is selected and compiled by the Catholic church. Then non Catholics used that compilation and claimed it for themselves. The Bible is a Catholic book. Watching them "preaching" a life they cant fullfill, being fake and blaming others for their own lack of character n how they treated me n others who were foreigners but they had to stand us since we were making the companies earn much more money than themselves, drove me into a complete repulse regarding their religion compared to what we learn in the bible " True religion is to take care of widowed women, orphans and dont deny foreigner's rights - it's not abt how many times u pray in a daily basis in front of others" their religion is merely to pretend they are higher than anyone in the universe,lie,cheat and go into all they condemn themselves as adultery, prostitution, lust, promiscuity, greed, deniying ppl's wage, steal them, using ppl from other religions n women as objects and discard them when there was nothing left to use and still pretend they are good n we were the problem while they arent even sure if they will be saved or not at all, they fast during Ramadan in order to be forgiven n pretend they want be hungry like the poors they remember only during Bayrams but fight everyone in the streets and behave really badly while doing so, they pray in front of others n leave work on Fridays during lunch time to the mosque but their souls are filled with darkness n madness imposed by the goddamn rules they learnt to follow,opressions n doctrines of Islam that they can't understand or explain even to themselves

Christians accepting Jesus the Christ while still yet sinners have had their sins forgiven and blotted away allowing them to come before a Holy God. 6:30 the biggest problem with the replacement theory is if Allah replaced Jesus with someone else, Allah would be responsible for inadvertently starting Christianity. That's because the Apostles believed Jesus was crucified and began preaching the death, burial, and resurrection. So Allah is either deceptive or he is the cause of a religion that he mistakingly established but then had to then to correct by sending Muhammad. You can't really claim that Jesus was in fact Muslim without making out that either Allah or Jesus (well, both really) was completely incompetent since they started the world's largest false religion which then went more than 500 years before it was eventually corrected and got back on track. Of course, there are other major problems too, including that the verses that Muslims largely rely on from the OT to back up Muhammad's claim of prophethood (Deuteronomy 18:14-19) actually claims that the prophet will come from within Israel, not somewhere on the Arabian peninsula. Allah cites the moral values of the Prophet Yahya (peace be upon him) in the Qur’an as an example of the love of believers: “[After the child had been born and grown We said], ‘John, take hold of the Book with vigor.’ We gave him judgment while still a child, and tenderness and purity from Us - he had piety.” (Qur’an, 19:12-13) Our Prophet (peace be upon him) also reveals in the Hadiths that believers’ love for one another is for Allah’s approval. Abu Zarr relates: “Rasulullah (peace be upon him) said: “The most virtuous of deeds is to love for Allah’s sake and to hate for Allah’s sake.” (Kutub-i-Sitte, Vol. 10, p. 140; Abu Davud, Sunnet 3, 4599) “The strongest bonds of faith are friendship for Allah, enmity for Allah and love for Allah.” (Kutub-i-Sitte, Vol. 10, p. 141) Believers with a great love and fear of Allah and who honestly strive for His approval of them, are auspicious people who bring beauty to the world. Because of these superior virtues they also love Allah’s creations, feel affection and compassion for them, and wish to protect them and do them good. Allah has revealed that in return for this fine love and their sincere devotion to our Lord that stem from the faith in believers’ hearts and their fear of Him, they will be rewarded with paradise, the place of the best love and devotion. The Qur’an is the Basis of Love Our Lord does not only command His servants to love in the Qur’an. He also describes in detail what form the foundation of love will take. For example, He reveals that at the basis of a person’s love for someone else will lie patience, loyalty, generosity, care, truthfulness, courage, protectiveness and loving other more than one loves oneself. Allah refers to this love as follows in the Qur’an: “Those who were already settled in the abode, and in faith, before they came, love those who have made pilgrimage to them and do not find in their hearts any need for what they have been given and prefer them to themselves even if they themselves are needy. It is the people who are safe-guarded from the avarice of their own selves who are successful.” (Qur’an, 59:9) As revealed in this verse, characteristics such as consideration, loyalty and fortitude are the most significant indicators of love. People who are egotistical and selfish, and not patient and forgiving, are totally devoid of true love. Our Lord, who of course has a flawless knowledge of the behavior and attitudes of the servants He creates, their psychology in other words, describes the features of people who are loveless and do not behave in accordance with the moral values of the Qur’an in detail in that book, and thus makes it easier for Muslims to identify those characteristics. Allah reveals in the Qur’an that hard work and care and attention are necessary for love. He notes that loves needs to be tended, just like a flower. Some people who do not know the true love that Allah describes in the Qur’an imagine that love is dependent on physical appearance and that people can only be loved if they are attractive. Yet people’s anatomical structures consist of flesh, fat, bone and blood; therefore, were it not for the skin, the work of Allah’s matchless creation, there would be very little about people to like. People who turn their love toward matter do not in fact love that appearance. It is at this point that the basis of the true love that believers feel for one another emerges. This is because believers love people, not just for their external appearance, but for the moral virtues they embody in their souls. And it is believers who live by the moral values of the Qur’an and seek the approval of Allah who possesses these moral qualities. For that reason, Muslims love other Muslims. And among Muslims, they most love those they they regard as having the most piety and being the most sincere because according to the Qur’an, love is dependent on piety, and Muslims most love the person they regard as having most of Allah’s approval. This is revealed as follows in a verse: “Some people set up equals to Allah, loving them as they should love Allah. But those who have faith have greater love for Allah.
