@@Manish---- currently engineers (specially computer science engineers) are earning way more than CA's. Thats the sad reality.

​@@adityagutgutia8015 Not only that engineers even with a starting package of 3-4LPA are able to grab 30-40LPA within 5-6 years with some switches.But herein CA it is very difficult to get that package within 7-8 years even after many switches.Reality hurts.Ppl may not know this but the same Big4 which every CA fraternity are crazed about pay engineers much higher packages than CA ppl.

Also engineers are smart enough to go for MBA after engineering and steal the show by grabbing all the coveted corporate finance roles which CAs dream of.It sounds harsh but the problem is the CA curriculum itself is so taxing and exhausting that after qualifying very few go for further education and try for big roles.I am Not talking about all the CAs but for majority this is the case.And as far as company is concerned whether we like it or not they are all profit motivated as they should be so they look for ppl who are better in solution providing and strategic decision making rather than someone who is good in accounts,tax and cost.

The Marwari-Gujarati effect of Kolkata is what has kept kolkata CA's at helm of the success. They work hard, are highly skilful, very well socially connected and on top of that very religious as well. The Bond of brotherhood shared together. Being a Gujarati from Kolkata I can definately vouch for my Marwari friends, and My Marwari friends can also vouch for me any time🫂❤️😊

I have seen lots of discrimination against a student or a CA who is non jain,non marwari, not from business background,not from Gujarati background,non sindhi. Why so??? Is CA who are from pther sects are not welcomed in CA fraternity???

One thing that can be observed is some of them brag themselves saying "dhanda karna hamara andar hai. To hum behtar hain." That's why we can observe such preferential treatment.

I don't know why the heck I have seen lots of discrimination against non marwari,not from business background,non gujarati,non jain, especially in practice area and also during articleship period. Is not everyone is welcome in CA fraternity if they are not from above sects?
