As a recreational rider, not a racer in any form, went road bike, MTB and then Gravel. Gravel, on the right day, right route goes better than either of the others. But the MTB can handle everything. Just a little (maybe a lot) slower on the road 😊 just glad to have all 3

I really like your videos mate..I can't wait for my MTB cycle scheme to finish and I'll get myself a Ribble Gravel AL or Planet X Tempest Ti...I much prefer gravel cycling over road cycling just because is much more fun and I don't have to deal with cars passing by and potentially knock me off the road!

Thank you. I agree with you, cars are a real pain. Stick to off-road if you can. A gravel bike is great for those quiet country roads too.

Gravel bike is the happy medium between a hardtail and a road bike most of the speed and comfort of a road bike and about 70% the off-road capability of a hardtail.

Well said good feedback on the practicality’s of a gravel bike . If you could only have one bike gravel would be it by a mile . If you’re a generic bike rider this is the bike for you . Would you consider a battery gravel bike ?

I would consider a battery gravel bike, but just not yet. I see it as a one way door, once you walk through, you’re not going back to a analogue bike.
