I realized finally that I was bottling up grief. I am now seeing a therapist and learning somatic tracking and meditation and actually addressing the grief! I never allowed myself to, and that is not healthy at all.

No 5 just hit home - currently still in the grieving phase for a life and lifestyle I identified with for some 40 odd years. Hard to let go especially when you still don’t have any clue as to what might come after that. Gets my anxiety skyrocketing…

😊 thank you I'm new to this I know I was diagnosed with two herniations in my spine and two disc issues because I was having a lot of burning in my spine and tightness Physical Therapy helped then just two weeks after I was pain free I tried a new chiropractor and I felt pain after I saw him it's been going on for 6 months now the same symptoms that I had before burning and a lot of tightness and stiffness cuz I haven't moved my spine much and I'm trying to move my spine im a little bit more flexible but still really tight and burning I believe some of it is neuroplasticity any other part is real herniations and the real discomfort that they can cause but not sure why it's taken 6 months to heal before took 3 months to heal not sure if I'm aggravating the discs more by trying to stretch the spine cuz I'm so tight

Was wondering if you have any advice. I have been in chronic pain for years but the last few months by following these principles i have pretty much been pain free but the last few days i have gone into a flare again. I've been working hard to give myself messages of safety and try to think all the right things but it's like my brain has done the exact opposite and it's got worse not better! It's hard not to get frustrated but i am trying to stay to calm, just don't understand why it's got worse when I've been doing so well?

Sorry to hear about your flare. This is really common to occur. Check out my video on why pain flares occur!

Your videos have been helping me so much and I Thank you from the bottom of my heart for them. And i wanted to ask something. I practice meditation, mindfulness, safety messages as much as i can but although i feel better i still struggle to play the piano, ( right arm neuroplastic symptoms). What does it mean if a low dose of xanax allows me to focus and play the piano with almost absolutely no symptoms? It just confirms that the issues come from inner tension and worry , right? I take it very rarely, but still, confused as to why i can't achieve the same by myself.

I'm so glad my content is helpful. This could occur for several reasons and it is difficult for me to say over social media. Generally it could indicate how the pain is connected to the nervous system state.
@michalishillides39566 ай бұрын
@painpsychotherapy okay so must reset the nervous system. I assume medication, and vagal nerve simulators as well as deep breathing are ways to achieve this ? Including ofcourse somatic tracing? How else could I be in contact with you. I understand it is difficult for yo through a comment. But would appreciate the reply.

Does anyone else get really anxious after getting angry at someone?
@carolnascimento74946 ай бұрын
I did before. As time went by just began to reassure myself that it's ok and safe to feel and get angry. Than the emotion passes. It's almost like detaching from the situation a little. All the best.
@lydia61476 ай бұрын
Yes! Not as much now, I found that researching what anger actually is, really helped. I separated the feeling of anger from hostile behaviour, and I have people around me who I can trust to have a constructive conversation with, if either of us is upset about something
