Guys you are the reason I started jumping rope a year ago! I love it so much and I learned so many tricks that make it even more fun! To anyone who says anything about them selling a mat, you can just get a yoga mat.. They are just trying to sell their stuff which is completely legit. Nevertheless it looks like a great mat tbh, high quality and good looking!

@Pachabee are you able to jump comfortably with a yoga mat ? I am genuinely curious because they tend to move all over the place while jumping rope which is really annoying.
@perotal3 жыл бұрын
@Pachabee Thanks for the feedback. I think it depends on the mat as you said.
@axhlo3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used my yoga mat for jumping with Crossropes at first and it was not great. The weight of the ropes had it shifting all over the place. It was a bit hit to get their mat but the weight and size of it has been worth it for me so far. Your mileage may wildly vary with yoga mats.
@andrewharris34173 жыл бұрын
If your using any crossrope heavier than the 1/2 lb a yogi mat will either move all over the place &/or you will chip holes in it. I speak from experience.

Does using a mat reduce or increase the noise of the rope hitting a tiled/concrete floor?
@AnthonyMcqueen19873 жыл бұрын
Yes in my 11 years dancing with a rope i learned the hard way so to speak. Never skip on a hard surface especially concrete you will cause more damage in the long term. I would recommend a mat or more specifically a jump rope mat that is designed for that kind of abuse. It will save your knees, shins, hips and more importantly your joints. I have gone through dozens of mats and hundreds of ropes and i am still trying to find that perfect balance.

I messed my calf muscles jumping on a hard surface. Apart from being a rookie and overdoing now, I have to wear knee sleeves to walk around and it is quite painful even with them.

I’ve had the same get fit set of ropes since mid 2018 because they’ve never left a mat. Crossrope mat is by far the best portable mat I’ve ever used and it holds up to the 1/4lb rope all the way up to the 5lb rope without getting chewed up like a yoga mat or puzzle mat does.

Packaging: It came in a sturdy rectangular cardboard box that said Yoga on it. kzbin.infoUgkxZkaD2JsPC-fUMkF3vxJ2echoiXZ3T9aM I didn't like how it let possible package thieves know what might be contained inside but great packaging otherwise. The yoga mat came rolled up in a plastic wrap, which was fairly easy to remove.Contents: I got the green yoga mat and it came with an adjustable velcro carrying strap already secured to the mat. There was also a warranty card. There was a bit of a plastic smell coming form the yoga mat but it quickly dissipated after using it once.I've only used the yoga mat twice so far but I am loving it. It's such a game changer to my work outs, especially compared to my bed and floor, haha! I can confirm that it very thick, slip resistant, and comfortable. i didn't look at the dimensions prior to buying the mat, but it is so much longer than I expected! Width is normal size in my opinion. I don't know if it really is tear resistant yet... only time will tell!

I always carry a Yoga mat while jumping rope. It is not for jump rope but it reduce the impact on my knee. The most Yoga mats in the market are not built for jump rope- especially when we use the Crossrope weighted jump rope. We need a heavy and steady mat that will not move while jumping on it. I bought a lot Yoga mats (more than 20pcs). Unfortunately, they always slip while I jump on it. Some of them were just broken when I use 1LBS rope. I bought the Crossrope LE MAT last week and waited for its arrival. Can you guys tell what different between Jump rope dudes mat and Crossrope's? Or should I need to return the Crossrope's mat and buy this new one in the video?

I know that people are giving them a little stick for this mat but I think that it is really unfair. Dan & Brendan have been putting out high quality, entertaining content for years & do it absolutely free. As a content creator myself, people do not realise the amount of work that goes into making & editing high-quality content consistently & doing it for YEARS before you receive a penny from it. I have seen these guys progression & the good that they do! These guys are one of the big reasons why I got into Jump Rope. Jump rope has done wonders not only for my physical health but my mental health in this terrible time that we find ourselves in because of COVID19. Jump rope has been a lifesaver in terms of keeping me focused, sharp & helped me destress in these very turbulent times. Guys keep doing what you do. I've just purchased a mat! I appreciate all the content! K from the UK
@1966johnnywayne3 жыл бұрын
Ummm, I don't think they "do it absolutely free". They do not charge for us to view content, but as they are compensated based on viewership, product endorsement and the sale of JRD programs...WE are not the consumer, but rather the product as they are selling access to us to their sponsors. This is their business model and it is relatively lucrative for them.
