Some huskies like to cuddle, but others don't! While this be influenced by how the husky is raised, it sometimes just comes down to their individual character that they've developed on their own.

My Husky cuddles with me all the time. In spite of his independent nature, he still loves to be close to me, to be touched, and actively seeks my physical affection. Mika is 7 now, but he was a puppy when my grandkids were still young so they were like puppies together with lots of play and affection. I also absolutely love stroking his luxurious fur, so he's grown up with frequent physical contact being perfectly normal to him.

My HUSKY hates when I want to cuddle him and gives me a look like "are you for real ?", but when he wants to be cuddled then it is a different story : he is in charge and he DECIDES for how long we shell do it and when he has ENOUGH he will vocally inform me . Then he is giving me 10 minutes "report " of what just happened in his own LANGUAGE which I do understand by now after rescuing him 8 years ago . And if I try to kiss him he will not stop complaining until I am done . However I know that he LOVES me almost as much as I adore him . He is EVERYTHING and more what a good FRIEND should be like and I can not even imagine life without him .

My Husky cuddles when he's begging for something and when he get tired. Had a Shepard that hated cuddles. Some of the difference I think was the shep was spoiled all his life. Never had a rough day. The husky was a starving stray and was starving for affection and companionship as a puppy.

My male Husky would give you around 10-15 seconds of "affection" and then he would be done with you. He was like that as a puppy and never changed.

I know both of my Huskies, a.k.a. Floofs, are broken. They practically fight over which one gets to play lap dog when I'm sitting on the couch or pushing each other out of the way to get petted. 😁

I have 3 Huskies 2 of them are constant cuddle bunnies. the 3rd one is on a 3-4 days a week we can cuddle the other days she just isnt that into me. lol. I ended up buying a bigger bed for all my sleep buddies. Now I need a bigger couch and more hands to pet dogs with.......

I have a cuddly Husky too. When he was a puppy, I got rid of my couch altogether and put a daybed in my living room. I sew, so I made cushions to fit around it to give back support plus decorative pillows. Its comfy, practical, and looks beautiful. When my grandkids were little it was great because we had room to all curl up together.

I'm jealous of all these posts about their husky cuddling with them. Mine has to be forced or tricked and even then you can see the irrationa in her eyes

My isn't a cuddler. She will let me rub her belly and sometimes sit on the couch with me at the other end. She doesn't always want to be with me either. She likes the bed in the bedroom too much. That said she's not one to run off instantly if I drop her leash and she can be really patient waiting in the car for me but she's not a cuddler.

From reading the comments I wonder if this is more common with females? I got a puppy bc I wanted someone to love/ cuddle with… my husky puppy acts like she could not care less the most I get is she will come out her head on me - usually cuz she wants something lol

My female will sleep in bed with me, get on the couch with me, and let me pet or kiss her, but she will not lie on me or against me.

My six year old husky will only allow me, my wife, the trainer, and certain (rare) individuals to pet her. She pulls away from everyone else, and if they persist she will warn, aggressively.

That's very unusual for a breed that's known for its friendliness and acceptance of strangers. On the plus side, your Husky won't invite a burglar in, make them a mug of cocoa, and show them where the valuables are like mine would!

Do a simple test: ignore your Husky for 30 minutes you’ll know who’s the « chief » in your house. If he’s not coming, he considers himself as Head. I have zero zero privacy. Following me literally everywhere, big smile on them faces. 😅😊❤

This is pretty much non sense: all my shelter Husky pack just ❤️ cuddles. Yes they are independent but they are all requiring cuddles. As said I have had Husky ‘s for > 30 years. You need to understand them, power them out. A Husky will never bring you a toy back as he doesn’t see the point .
