Wonderful video! I LOVE red tiger lotus, mine recently died but I'm still growing the seeds.

What about rotala red ?
@TropiscapeAquatics25 күн бұрын
If you're talking about Rotala 'Blood Red', then maybe... it can get "red," but it'll probably be more orange. Rotala H'Ra would also get orange rather than its staple red without CO2. That being said, it's worth a shot if you want to try! There's more to red plants than just CO2!

which one is more easier in low tech limnophila aromatica or hipoporides?
@TropiscapeAquatics Жыл бұрын
I find both to be pretty much the same but I lean towards aromatica just a tad.

i tried the red root floaters (got some from my neighbor) and they just would NOT get red. green only.
@TropiscapeAquatics6 ай бұрын
Yeah, that is my experience as well. It most likely comes down to genetics of the RRF's. That or the light I was using was not producing enough red light. I explain a bit more in detail in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4iwgHhoi6t6rbM

Tbh i had that prob at first. The secret for me was high iron in the water plus 11 hours of full spec light. Most importantly though maintain a 0 nitrate systen. If you can do that and keep your water almost stagnant. They get a nice deep red with just a touch if green @@TropiscapeAquatics

AR is difficult to grow imo
@TropiscapeAquatics Жыл бұрын
It can be a hit or miss sometimes. I've had it grow in a Walstad tank in the past with decent amount of lighting. AR 'mini' is the harder one imo.

I've been experimenting with editing video speed in my newer videos ever since my algae guide in under 5 minutes. I got a lot of positive feedback, which is why I kept it, but I may turn it down a bit. Glad you enjoyed the video despite me going at full speed 😆
