5 Reflections After Learning Spanish in Spain || my American perspective

Show of hands if you think English is the language of the world.
As an American, I always wanted to learn new languages but never applied myself to learn one. Now, after living in Spain for nearly 2 years, I can reflect about 5 different pieces of knowledge that were key in my journey to speaking Spanish fluently.
Side note: I learned that Spaniards love dubbing our movies/shows into Spanish, and while I'm not in agreement, I respect the origins of where dubbing came from and why it still exists today.
