Well! None of these are the obvious choices. As much as we like to have those five or ten romantic choices to choose from one would imagine this would be a tough nut to crack always. So, kudos on that, also, I feel we can have as many people with as many recommendations and none would overlap. My five favorites - all hindi films - are Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Anupama, Gulzar's Ijaazat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Nikhil Advani's Kal Ho Naa Ho and Abbas Tyrewala's Jhootha Hi Sahi

"Main Meri Patni aur woh" was amazing! Whatever is Rajpal Yadav doing these days? He used to be so so good! KKM is durable as anything, and Ritu-di, a dominant presence in Bengali movies and a National Award winner, is winsome. Even now. Timeless. And what lovely music! -- Saaqi ne fir se mera jam bhar diya! Guncha koi mere naam kar diya....

I lost count as how many times I watched Mouna Ragam. A master piece with eluding music in Indian cinema context. The fact is that we all have seen the similar instance from the movie in our neighborhoods but we will get to travel thru the emotions

Mounaraagam itself is inspired from Nejathai Killathae directed by legendary director Mr.Mahendran sir. Watch that movie and that’s one of the greatest love stories in world cinema. Name any Mahendran sir movie and it all feels relevant and sensible even today.

For me it has to be the Three Colur Trilogy, Bleu being a personal favourite, that is both emotive and beautifully shot. I love the performances as well. Also, personally, I would have liked a black and white movie recommendation because romance looks more etherial and magical in black and white, like Casablanca or Pyasa or even Sahib Biwi aur Ghulam. P.S. it is not complete without mentioning the romance of Fahad Faasil eyes in an episode dedicated to romance, especially among the modern day actors. He is a beautiful actor.
