I agree with eating at home. I learned if I buy basic baking supplies, I know I can make waffles, pancakes, noodles, tortillas, cookies and muffins

Just wanna say hello. I love to watch how people on other continents live their normal lives. I am from central Europe, have totally different cultural background, just one 2yo kid (so far), but I love to see your small channel, which I can relate more than bigger immensely polished ones. Thank you for being here.

Weatherizarion and energy efficiency in your home will go a longggg way on your utility bills too. Wasted electricity and water really adds up $.

Yes I would also love to know more! We have discussed solar energy but wondered if the investment up front would pay off in the long run or not

@@meganblakelie_solar is a scam. It’s doesn’t pay for itself. I’ve seen so many people disappointed and in monstrous debt due to solar. We moved into our home and the water heater was set to the highest it could go, we turned that down to a safe setting and it has made a huge difference in our power bill. About 30 a month. That’s one place to start, also the dryer uses a lot of power so in the summer hanging what you can to dry outside on a line can help cut back. I try to grill as much as possible in the summer and avoid the oven because it heats the home and makes the AC work harder.

Oooh I think it might have been me who asked that question! All these are things we already do as a one income family. I think the main thing that needs to change for our family is a lower cost of living state. We are in NJ and it’s just ridiculous here. We are planning on moving in the coming year. Oh and I’m cracking down on my hubby’s lunch at work and Wawa stops…that’s adds up to a few hundred every month reallll quick.

Yes cost of living differences play a huge role! And we have also had to have much accountability where lunches are concerned 😅

I have a name for my decor style now! 😂 I also started cutting my own hair this year. I only went once or twice a year, but it’s up most of the time anyways.

Hi Megan. I am a new subscriber, though I've watched your videos before😊 I love your values and your convictions for your family, and how you implement them into your lifestyle. I also love your wooden-top spice jars above your stove. They're so pretty!

I loved what you said about DIY or DW decor. I’ve never thought about it in those terms! I have a lot of DW 😄
