Theres an African version of the Loch Ness monster called Moloke-Mbeme that lives in the congo River basin, also there's a variant of the fairy in africa called "aziza". Appearently a big chunk of the Icelandic population believes in elves like about 70-90%, I think that's pretty interesting

about the part with fairies stealing human babies, and how you can only get the baby back by making them laugh... it's so crazy to me because as someone who watched the Disney Tinkerbell movies, the way the fairies are born are from a baby's first laugh.

Im Mexican and with the chupacabra, people have reported that the cattle wither it be sheep,pigs and cows would be drained of blood that’s where the chupa comes in . But in Mexico we have a traditional dog called an xolo which Is a hairless dog that have been around since Aztec times so some people say these dogs are the ones killing the cattle. I personally believe el chupacabra exists because how else would the blood be completely drained from the animals and the xolo is a rare breed not a dog you would see in the streets .

Also mexico has a big folklore with traditional mythical creatures and superstitions , most Mexicans SWEAR by these and some even have proof of these creatures existing so I don’t doubt the chupacabras existence

I’m South Sudanese and I’ve even heard stories about people who turn into certain animals and my mum even claims she had a neighbor who turned into a lion and ate one of their goats😩 so I wouldn’t be surprised if some/all these are real. Keep these videos coming. I also miss the wrongfully convicted series and podcasts. Love you❤️

I’m not sure of the first one and the lock ness monster but the rest seems like it could exist, especially the shapeshifters. In Ethiopia there is this belief that shapeshifters turn to a hyena by licking ash or stick and the description of them is identified as being hairy, having hyena features but also human features as well, the one that stands out to me the most is that it’s said that there eyes are very very bright like two beams of flash lights in the dark and that they are very hard to kill because they are very strong

If you think about, movies are sometime based on imagination and truth. Producer/writer had to get the ideal from somewhere. Like the producer of nightmare of Elm st. In an interview he stated that he got the ideal from a dream he had. We all know dreams having meaning... I personally believe all these creatures are very much possible to be real. I love these informed stories.❤️ great work!

FUN FACT: the "changelings" or replaced babies was how people would excuse their children when they started exhibiting symptoms of autism. They feel like as though the baby they had is no longer there and was replaced. So yeah. Often times you will not see symptom onset of autism until the age of 2-4. Until then, the baby can be totally acting "normal" (i.e. eye contact, physical affection, going to mom for comfort, interacting with environment with a healthy level of attention). So, yeah. It's actually legit ableism, and it really is demonizing autistic children and adults.

There's a creature my mom used to tell me a story about, I don't remember the name but she used to tell me how she was almost captured by that creature. My mom told me that she was living in Cité Soleil but she went to the province (Jeremie ) but when she was coming back home it's was early morning probably around 2-3 am she got off the tap-tap(taxi) and was walking home. My mom said from where they got off the tap-tap to the house it's was like 4 blocks, so while she was walking she saw this tall creature some sort was walking after her and trying to grab her she had to maneuver around houses so the creature wouldn't grab her until she arrived at her home and was knocking on the door so my auntie would open up. A lot of people always say those creatures are so tall and have long arms where they don't have to bend down all they have to do is reach to grab you and outrun them and hide out of sight. I have to ask my mom about the name.
@rafeeqmaluleka24913 жыл бұрын
I've heard a similar story from a relative except it didn't chase her. It was just soooo tall that she couldn't really see its face but it was also around 2-3am after a church conference. This all happened in South Africa.

Eye.. twitching... Trolls do not live under bridges, or at least not just. They frequently live in the mountains and forests according to folklore, and while some are purported to be the size of mountains with three heads many others are the size of people with hollow backs and cow tails. There are a lot of stories from Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Iceland, and Finland about them. They're some of my favorite creatures in mythology since there is an old family story saying we're descended from Trolls... and the Fair Folk. The Fair Folk do not like my family so we do not discuss or deal with them, and give their known lands a wide berth.
