There's another EVP of Sylvia's cries for help when they're first walking up to the house. I can hear it clear as day. 11:10 "somebody come help me!" (If you slow the playback speed to 0.75x, put headphones on, & pump the volume as high as you can tolerate, it's a bit easier to make out.) 11:40 - 11:54 there's yelling coming from the basement this entire time. Too muffled though to understand. I'm familiar with the details of the case. It's incredibly inhumane and unprecedented. I'm speechless at some of the atrocities that poor young woman endured at the hands of her torturers. This story is HORRENDOUS. When I came across this story in a true crime video, it broke my heart. I was recently sharing this clip of the house with my boyfriend, and he was unfamiliar with it. So I pulled up the Wikipedia entry and proceeded to read it a loud to him, every section. I broke down crying multiple times, and was actually unable to finish reading the last section out loud. It ABSOLUTELY BREAKS MY HEART to think she might be trapped there in her afterlife. I hope that's just residual. But the fact that it's as though she can hear someone's outside the home and is trying, in vain, to get someone's attention...means it sounds like an intelligent haunting & not a residual one. 🥺 I hope someone with abilities goes there and sets her free so she can finally cross over and be healed of all she suffered in her life as Sylvia & rest peacefully. Plus, who's to say that a spirit that's left that way and ignored, can't go dark side after so much time bring trapped in the home where the worst things possible to happen to another being happened.

I don’t know how much they pay her to clean, but it’s definitely not enough. One hell of a brave lady. I cleaned a haunted house once, I did it for 15 years. It was haunted by the author Rosemary Sutcliffe (she wrote Beowulf among many other works) where she passed away after a long illness, along with various other spirits that I believe were connected to the land rather than the property. I was lucky though, as I had no trouble with the spirits there, although Rosie loved to play games and hide things for days/weeks at a time. My daughter when she was little absolutely adored to play with her friend Rosie. They loved to draw and look at books together. I once asked my daughter what they were doing and she replied that Rosie was teaching her to read!! Strangely my daughter when she started school at five had the reading age of a seven year old. I’m fairly sure that wasn’t all my doing.🤷‍♀️👻

Re: the "Empty House" video. I remember seeing that video a few years ago online, and from what I can remember, it's a woman who normally does some kind of work in the house during the day part time, and had heard so many stories from the night cleaning crew that she decided to check it out. I'm pretty sure a paranormal team checked out the house later, too, but sadly thats all I can remember of it. *I've since remembered that it's the famous Pontefract House.

The doll is a replica of "Molly" from an old children's TV show i use to watch all the time when i was little called "The Big Comfy Couch". In the show "Molly" moves around "by herself" as well so seeing her lift her head like that brought back soo many memories of when i was too young to understand that she really couldn't move. I have been haunted for as long as I can remember, when I was little, he always presented as a “Jack in the Box” in my dreams, I was always afraid to go to sleep because the dreams were terrifying,( understatement)this was at crawling age. He stopped appearing as a Jack in the Box as I got older and appeared in my dreams as a terrifying dark presence that would shut me in a room, I would feel his presence behind me and become sick with fear…beyond fear. He has never left, I stopped letting him frighten me, but now I call him the “Bed Sitter” as when I am awake I feel him sit on the edge of my bed and the bed moves down as if a real person has sat there. My husband actually felt him sit twice. If I feel any fear, I pray, in and out of dreams. I am now 64 and I have had him my whole life, but he has no power over me anymore. He just sits there and watches me. He is evil, he terrorised me as baby, then a little girl, and so on. He spoke through my bedside radio once….just my name, his voice is grating and coarse. The only person I’ve told is my Husband. He will never leave me alone, I don’t think, why would he, after all this time?
